lots of room

This accommodation suited our needs in terms of its location and number of sleeping spots. The main floor offered plenty of space to allow for the occasional family visit. We were 5 adults and we each had comfortable space to sleep in. If you have any mobility issues be aware that washrooms are in the basement and upper floors only and there are no railings along the stairways. The host was readily available via messages and answered our inquiries promptly. We left a bathroom kit behind and the host made every effort to find it for us. overall a good stay.

Misrepresented, dirty and potentially illegal?

The property wasn’t very clean at all. The gardens were overgrown, with lots of thistles making it unusable, also multiple items left laying around, including an old hose pipe, concrete blocks and a childrens bike. The front door step was cracking away and about to break so we had to put bricks under it to make it safer. When we made the booking the description stated it had Netflix, but it did not work. It also stated that the property had air conditioning when it clearly did not! When we contacted the owner he said he would get a technician to come to take a look at the A/C fault. That technician never materialised, so we had many nights with little sleep. Worse than that one of the bedrooms was in the cellar with no fire escape route, which we have been advised makes it illegal to rent out as a bedroom.
