Short Walk to Tokerau Beach

Cosy bach situated on a full section with great indoor/outdoor flow.
Tokerau Beach is great for all ages it offers a wide range of water sports, its an excellent beach to walk down and of course it offers fishing as well as tua tua's yum!! If that's not enough you will be within a 5 min drive to the beautiful Matai bay, Rangiputa and other amazing beaches our beautiful coastline has to offer.
This is the perfect location to base yourself to explore everything the far north has to offer with places like Cape Reinga and the world famous 90 mile beach all within a 2 hour drive. Closer to home base just up the road in Whatuwhiwhi is Carrington Estate for lunch or dinner or you could pop across the road and have a round of golf.

This was our second visit! Very pet-friendly and well located. Property is very secure with plenty of outdoor space. Good amenities and well stocked kitchen.

Absolutely pet friendly, this was a priority to us selecting this book a Bach. Although the weather was terrible we thoroughly enjoyed your games cupboard. Also the convenient store was very close by.

Fantastic place

We stayed for 4 nights, when we arrived the weather was quite bad, and unfortunately there was a very short power cut. The hosts made contact, provided lighting and even bought us a cooked chicken so we could eat. They couldn’t do enough and were awesome. Turned out the power was only off for an hour…. The place is immaculate and very well appointed, they have thought about everything you need. It got even better, because of the bad weather they offered us another night for free to enjoy the upcoming improved weather! All in all a perfect holiday destination, we will be back thank you so much A

Fabulous bach, just perfect for our needs and fitted out with everything you could think of. We'll be back, bringing less of the "necessaries" next time because Leanne provides them. Terrible weather but the "natives" were very friendly and hospitable

Great property that had everything we needed. Cosy and quiet and worked out well for the 4 days fishing with the wife. Wind and weather was perfext also.

We came to stay for a weekend fishing. This batch was perfect for us, everything was just as advertised, clean and tidy with everything we needed and plenty of room for the boat.

Excellent stay- highly recommended

The best Bookabach we have stayed at. Comfortable, more than ample supplies. We will be back and hopefully catch some fish next time. Beautiful beach.

We were very dissatisfied and disappointed with this property for the amount we paid for it. We have stayed in many properties, camp grounds, hostels all over New Zealand and have paid a lot less for a much nicer accomodation. I very rarely do reviews, however, I do not have high standards, but have expectations especially when you’re paying for what appears to be a well conditioned property advertised. I apologise for the long review but we were not happy at all with this place. The cleanliness was very poor! There was hair and what appeared to be dog hair everywhere, including the toilet seat. There were crumbs and lint on the flooring, carpet and rug which had no way been hoovered. The sink basin had not been cleaned. There was dirty cutlery in the draws and cupboards (plates etc). I had to Hoover and wipe down the kitchen and bathroom upon check in. There’s a disgusting may in front of the toilet which stinks of wee and covered in stains. The furniture is pretty old and dirty. Poor bedding etc. There isn’t a AC / Heat pump unit in the property and the heat is just incredible when you first enter. Fair enough, but it barely cooled down despite windows being opened and later with the fan. Wifi is not advertised and so is not included. The water is not drinkable. Overall, we were disappointed is fair to say and we’re really mythed as to how this property has got great reviews! This property would be great if it had a good clean and up to date furniture.

Lovely Bach with everything you need

We really enjoyed our stay and were so grateful to be able to take our dog with us! The Bach was great and had everything you need for an awesome holiday, very close to the beach and lots of land :) Would love to visit again
