It was quick weekend getaway, Booked at the last minute and we had not been in the area before. It was a pleasant and relaxing time within walking distance of a coffee shop and several choices for sit down lunch/dinner. We would choose this place again if we were in the area.

Great place

We stayed here while attendingvthe Keeneland horse sale. It was a great spot. I liked that it was within walking distance to anything we needed. Bring earplugs if youre a light sleeper! The street traffic is quite noisy. Itververy noisy

OMG!!! What can I say about this place? Everything was beyond perfect. This is by far one of THE BEST VRBO’S I have ever stumbled upon. It was charming and quaint and very well appointed!! The king bed was very comfortable. We did not use the queen bedroom but would have if we were very light sleepers as the king bedroom is on a main road through town and could be noisy at times. Owners provided ear plugs which we did not need as the traffic died down after dark. I wish I could give this place MORE than 5 stars!!! We WILL be back!!!

Weekend at Kenneland

We found the Old Woodford Hotel on VRBO and selected it due to its look, accommodations, location to Keeneland as well as the surrounding options for meals, drinks, etc. We arrived earlier than planned, but Kristin accommodated us with an early check-in, and even met us in person to assure we could access the property. The staff (maintenance handling upgrades and repairs) was helpful in directing us to local dining options and even brought us a round at one the local establishments! This was hospitality at its finest, and we will return again for race season without a doubt!

We had a fabulous time in one of your beautifully restored suites at The Woodford Hotel. We were taking my 90 year old mother for a little get-away weekend, and your place ticked all of the boxes! Elevator to get to our suite on the second floor of a very old, but beautifully restored building. Check! A very clean, unique and lovely appointed suite. Check! We stayed in the Wild Turkey Suite--each suite had a theme of a local Kentucky distillery! We LOVED the taxidermy turkey on the mantle over the fireplace! He was beautiful! The host/owners thought of everything we might need--down to the individually wrapped q-tips in the bathrooms! Nice to have a little kitchenette, too! Our suite had 2 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths which was so nice as well. The host/owners were great to work with and the communication with them was excellent! They were quick to answer every question! The Woodford Hotel is on the main street of Versailles so guests are within a short walk or drive to any kind of dining establishments and darling little shops. We had a great stay, and I have already recommended this special place to friends and family!

The beds are comfy and having the middle space with couch chairs and mini kitchen between bedrooms was super convenient for hanging out. Great location with restaurants and bourbon bar within walking distance. Great location for visiting distilleries on the Bourbon Trail.
