Located a short 200m stroll from the river’s edge, Suncatcher Coastal Getaway is your base for laidback beach holidays in Ocean Grove. This refurbished 3 bedroom home is perfectly positioned next to The Garage cafe, and only 750m to the surf beach and golf course. Enjoy wifi, heating, AC and 2 living areas with adjoining decks that provide room to spread out. Relax with a book on the sundrenched window seat, looking out to the leafy garden, or dine alfresco on the deck. Pet welcome by approval.
The Space:
Swing open the bifold doors to the north-facing deck, where you can sit on the rocking chair under the dappled light of a gum tree. The white weatherboard exterior offers irresistible seaside charm, and the atmosphere extends inside... Hardwood floors meet fresh coastal interiors in the open plan kitchen/dining/living area, with furnishings and mood-setting artworks that amplify the holiday vibe.
Easy flow to the front deck for effortless outdoor dining reveals a broad deck with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. The tall brush fencing affords superb privacy to the outdoor living spaces and lawn, which are secure for children and pets (welcome by approval at the time of booking - subject to House Rules).
The kitchen offers ample storage and bench space, with a Breville coffee pod machine, gas cooking and a dishwasher. Cook up a storm or indulge in excellent local takeaway food, and dine at the table indoors or out. Split system air conditioning offers year-round comfort, complemented by portable heaters for bedrooms.
Sink into the lounge and watch your favourite movies in the main living area, while the kids watch TV in the 2nd living area (both are Smart TVs). This room opens onto the 2nd deck at the rear of the home, complete with an outdoor beach shower.
Set up to sleep 8 guests, all three bedrooms are well-appointed with white hotel quality sheets and towels (please BYO beach towels). The master has a Queen bed, wardrobe and lush garden views from the cosy window seat. A double bunk room for the kids, plus a Double bed in the next bedroom, complete the sleeping quarters. The generous bathroom is designed for convenience, with bath, shower, toilet and heat lamp, plus a separate powder room.

The Neighborhood:
Beaches - Our beautiful local surf beach is approx 750m away. Ocean Grove Beach offers family friendly swimming, surfing, and walking and is patrolled in summer months.
13th Beach offers long beach walks and waves for advanced surfers.
Barwon River (4mins walk to river’s edge) caters to fishing, swimming, SUPing, kayaking, and walking the shoreline.
The house is situated next door to The Garage café for great food and coffee. Take a 10min walk to The Terrace shopping precinct, with plenty of cafes and restaurants locally and around the region.
Adventure Park is a great day out with the kids - just 10 mins drive away.
Getting Around:
Our beach house is an easy 4min walk to the riverfront walking trail and Ocean Grove Golf Club. 9min walk to The Terrace shopping/dining precinct. 11min walk to the surf beach and The Dunes restaurant. 12min walk to the Ocean Grove Bowling Club and resturant.
On and off-street parking available. There is room for up to 3 cars at this property; 2 cars can park I the rear carport and there is an additional visitor car space. There is a separate privately rented unit at the back of the property, so please no parking or blocking off the shared driveway.
Buses to and from Ocean Grove/ Barwon Heads / Geelong.
Closest train station 24km away (Marshall station) for V/Line train Geelong- Melbourne.
Ocean Grove is 1 hour 30 mins by car from Melbourne.
