Short Walk to Cowes - Large Family Home Pets Welcome

Need a place to stay that is family friendly and that includes the furry ones? This house is situated close to all that Cowes offers. Walk to restaurants, shops and activities, or take the car and be at the beach in a few minutes.

We have 4 bedrooms in the main house that can sleep up to 9. We are also baby friendly with a porta cot, high chair and bouncer. Upstairs is the main living area with cathedral ceilings and outdoor area. Comfy couches and lots of seating means family gatherings are catered for. Books, games and everything you need to settle in and have a great holiday is there. You don't need to bring anything except what you want to eat.

The house has WiFi and a split system upstairs. Downstairs there are fans and heaters for each room. There are lots of spare blankets and towels, even some for the pets.

Boogie boards and fishing equipment is available for you to use

The backyard is safely fenced and we love pets coming to visit.

The property was excellent for our dog. The hostess was friendly and accessable. The upstairs area was gorgeous. With 8 people the sleeping area was a littlle small.

unbelievably filthy

This property is the worst accommodation that I have ever stayed in .The Driveway entrance is overgrownThe gardens are Dead and full of leaf debrisThe entrance is dusty and dirty the carpets are filthy and the smell in the downstairs area is sickeningAll the flyscreens are full of dirt and windows filthy The bath in the is full of dirt blown in through an open windowThe furniture in the living area is frayed and damaged from cats"clean " ?? glasses had lipstick on the lip The Balcony is aged and falling to bits , bordering on dangerousthe hand rail on the inside staircase has so much dirt/scum build on it that a scraper could remove itThere are cobwebs in every room scattered everywhere and around window frames on bedside lights On a positive note , the bed was comfortable as were the pillows Toilets were clean , all tvs air cond & utilities were working .If we had been able to find other accommodation we would have not stayed there .This property is gross and requires a complete refurb inside and out . My guess is that it was built in the late 70s , Regardless it has not been maintained inside or out for many years and is a disgrace to "Stayz" and anyone else associated with it an should be removed from any listing until it has been rectified .A refund of sorts would be most appropriate but I am not expectant as I am pretty sure you don't offer this .The photos and advertisment on the internet are false and grossly misleading and are a breach of law !

A lovely house close to Cowes shops and restaurants.Outside of house could use a little TLC but didn’t worry us at all.

Amazing Place

This place was amazing. Had everything we needed. Even a doggy bed for our fur baby. Close by to Cowes main strip. Would definitely recommend it.

Very practical, well stocked, homely holiday!

We stayed with another family & all of our young kids over Jan. Super practical with the layout, sliding door to separate two families and clean enough but not so much that we were worried about dogs/kids mess (which of course we cleaned). Supplied highchair. Cot, had fishing rods, boogie boards, kitchen staples. So good

Great place let down by lack of cleanliness and maintenance.

Great location and size with really comfy beds and amazing water pressure inn the shower. Unfortunately, let down by the lack of cleanliness - the house was extremely dusty (setting off allergies), cobwebs and spiders (dead and alive) everywhere and some sliding doors were hard to operate, often sticking and jamming (upstairs deck and laundry), the jets in the spa bath didn't appear to work wither).

Comfortable home in Cowes

We had a lovely stay here and very central to everything, and close enough to walk into town easily. The host was easily contactable & helpful in getting an initial hiccup resolved. Was a perfect property for our and dog with secure fencing. Would recommend.

Home away from Home

This property had everything we needed. Being an older style home with kitchen and family upstairs had a great verandah to enjoy a BBQ with our group of friends. Downstairs had 2 x 2 which was handy. We used the roll out bed which was reasonably comfortable. As we were all adults, the bunks were better suited for kids of small adults. Good quiet spot, easy drive into Cowes or 15 mins walk. Good size kitchen, living area. I would book again.

Better than expected

We loved our stay! So close to everything and the house had everything we needed. The pictures really dont do the house justice, especially the upstairs area which is so nice! Appreciated all the extra towels, sheets, pillows, etc. We have already booked again for next year and will definitely approach Deb for any additional trips to Phillip Island.

I don’t know the last time it was cleaned thoroughly. There was cob webs everywhere, furniture had not been moved in a long time with the amount of dust, dirt and cobwebs. Floors haven’t been cleaned properly in a long time. The window screens had dirt and debris built up in them. It was very dusty and being an asthmatic I was up most the night coughing. Down stairs there was a distinct musty/moldy smell. The backyard wasn’t very child friendly and the gardens needed to be done.

Family stay

We had extended family staying with us. The house had multiple sleeping locations and two bathrooms that worked for us and a large lounge and kitchen area. Lots of helpful things like kitchen utensils, extra bedding, games etc. Dogs allowed and good space for them, but not securely fenced. A nice relaxed, comfortable, bit cluttered, not super modern vibe - like staying in your own holiday house. Good location and fair price. Worked well for us as a larger group

A home away

We had a wonderful stay, beautiful decorations and the house got everything we need, lots of kitchen ware and even coffee machines, lots if toys, card games and books, wifi was smooth, right in the heart of Cowes. Deb is always quick and helpful to answer your questions. Highly recommended. We’d love to come back.

Great house but fallen into disrepair

Our group thought the house was great. Upstairs area light and airy. Downs stairs dark cold but comfortable. The drains emitted a sewage smell that no air freshener could cover and this issue really lets the house down.

Great Location

There is a lot of space, there was 7 of us and was fine, easy walk to shops or beach really. Plenty of space for parking, very private. Plenty of linen. Quick communication with host. It does need a very good clean unfortunately, lots of dead bugs/flies, dirt in draws and dust.

Great family home close to shops & beach

The home was very well equipped for a family and in a good location. Whilst the inside of the home was clean enough, the outside was a little tired & neglected however still a great place for one or two families to stay.

Weekend away

The house was amazing lots of room and can fit more then 3 cars in drive way if parked certain way. Down stairs where the bedrooms are gets a bit cold at night but it’s still nice when you put the little heaters on and get under the blankets. Out back is a bit messy with leaves. And a few spiders are found down stairs but just caller spiders (daddy long legs)
