The Space:

The main bedroom is beautifully furnished with elegant bedlinen and an extremely comfortable queen-size bed — the perfect place to unwind after your day’s adventures exploring Hobart. There’s even a wall-mounted Smart TV so you can curl up and relax in comfort, much like an explorer retreating to base camp after a long expedition.



The second bedroom features two comfortable single beds, while double glazing throughout the villa ensures a peaceful night’s sleep. In the lounge, one of the sofas converts into a comfortable sofa bed, offering extra flexibility for families or small groups.



If you feel like cooking, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, including a dishwasher and microwave. Although with so many fantastic cafés, restaurants, and waterfront dining options nearby, you may prefer to leave the cooking to Hobart’s locals.

However, for those preferring public transport, there is a convenient bus stop just outside the villa with regular services travelling directly to Hobart’s CBD. For a more scenic journey across the River Derwent, the nearby Bellerive Ferry offers a fast, enjoyable, and uniquely Tasmanian connection between the Eastern Shore and the heart of Hobart. The ferry terminal is only around a 10-minute walk from Mawson’s Villa, making it easy to leave the car behind and arrive in the city like a modern-day explorer crossing new waters.
