Updates including some new furnishings, new flooring and a new bathroom including new shower with grab bars, and new art!

Ahhhhh, Chincoteague Island - the smell of Salt Marsh in the air - the visions of our Wild Ponies wandering through the Refuge. Once you visit our beautiful Island, it stays with you forever. But life is so busy - it's hard to get away for a whole week every year, isn't it? Or maybe you're one who prefers to take many shorter trips over the course of the year - a Weekend Warrior, if you will? If so, the Assateague Inn was made for you. Whether you'd like to visit for 3 nights or 11, we're here to make your time in Paradise as memorable as possible. 

Our Studio Suites have a Private Bedroom with queen size bed, and a separate living room with a queen size sofa bed. There is also a spacious Full Bath, and a Kitchenette fully equipped with cookware and dishes, 2 burner stove top, electric grill, toaster oven, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, and eating area. Our Studio Suites accommodate up to five guests. Relax in the AC and enjoy Flat Screen Cable TV and Free WiFi after a fun-filled day on the Beach, or slip out to the refreshing Pool to cool off. 

The Inn is located directly on the Creek, and is a great spot for Crabbing, or simply taking in the Herons and Egrets fishing for their morning meals. Located just off of Maddox Boulevard, you're only a short bike or car ride from Mini Golf, Dining, and of course, Assateague National Seashore! When you're not enjoying playing on the waterfront, relax on the huge landscaped greens with plenty of Picnic Tables and Barbecue Stations to cook up the Fresh Catch of the Day.

Off season good place to stay!

Off season rates are really reasonable- place is as described- good location- good views- would stay again.

What a lovely little space! Everything was clean and just as described. We loved the dock out over the marsh grasses and used it every day - especially since the beach was closed we could still feel close to the water. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

The stay didn't meet my expectations, we were anticipating having 2 Bedrooms including a living room, but the listing was misleading. The property manager said the listing is correct 2 bed in separate rooms. The living room I guess is considered a bedroom. The cleaning staff was friendly. We left early.

Great Stay

We had a wonderful time! The location is perfect, close to everything! The room had everything we needed. It was just a basic room. Nothing fancy, but it was perfect for us! We didn't spend much time in the room. The property managers are very responsive. They answered all of my questions quickly. They were great at updating me on everything i would need to know for our stay! Thank you for our great experience! 😊

review of our stay in Chincoteague

Air conditioner in front room has very little effect in the bedroom where the hot air accumulates. One overhead fan spins at the top near the ceiling instead of simply the fan blades, creating some fear of it falling. It should remain perfectly stable. Mattress creaks noisily, and should be replaced. We were confused by vrbo relation to the "other" host, and had to make 2 calls to complain. Prefer just VRBO and me not 3 parties.

Pool

My car was hit in the parking lot. There was no note left and while this is not directly the responsibility of the property management, it would have perhaps not have happened if there were lights around the property making vehicles more visible. Also, the pool is disgusting. I believe the pool surface just needs repainting but it looks gross and made me question its cleanliness. The pool was a big factor in renting here and then to not be comfortable in using it was a big turn-off.
