Beautiful newly renovated OCEAN-FRONT cottage on .75 of an acre! Enjoy morning coffees from your Adirondack chair on the large 2-tiered DECK, sunrise/sunsets are spectacular! Stroll/beach comb the BEACH right from the edge of the property. PICNIC table/BARBECUE are on the deck & FIRE PIT at the waters edge. Open concept with modern fully equipped kitchen, relaxing living room with SMART TV and fireplace. This COZY retreat is very quiet and private. Perfect for any type of vacation or getaway! New for 2024 is a mini-split, just installed, to provide an air conditioned space in the summer months.

Beautiful cottage

We spend aug 4-7, 2025 and it is a beautiful cottage. The view is amazing and Tyler and Caroline pay attention to every detail to ensure you enjoy your stay. We will definitely rent it again.

A little bit of New Brunswick

Perfect location to visit areas within 2 hours of Moncton. Being right on the water was peaceful. Property clean and bright with amazing decor. Had everything we needed! We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect home base for our NB vacation

My family spent a week at the Salty Dog and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect home base — a beautiful spot for morning coffees and family dinners overlooking the cocagne bay, and a short drive to so many great beaches and attractions (including Hopewell Rocks). Our kids and dog loved running around the big grassy yard and wading in the bay. The hosts were friendly and attentive. Bonus points for the AC which was a life saver during a heat wave.

The waterfront location was lovely, and the cabin just big enough to suit our needs. It provided a nice base to explore New Brunswick for a few days.

Easy Stay

We enjoyed our brief stay at The Salty Dog. It was fresh, clean and comfortable. Beautiful view and a nice taste of quiet New Brunswick cottage life. Would easily recommend.

The Salty Dog

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Salty Dog. The view of the bay is so relaxing. Nice big fire pit. Hosts were very attentive.

The Salty Dog Was Wonderful

Loved everything about The Salty Dog, from the cottage to the view. We had perfect weather and enjoyed both mornings having coffee on the deck watching the birds and herons glide over the clear calm water. Loved it so much and plan to go back.

Cottage was exactly as advertised, very well appointed. Our teenagers and little dog absolutely loved the water. We enjoyed our stay immensely and hope to return for a longer stay.

Watched the eclipse from this gorgeous little cottage. Very clean and well appointed. Super peaceful with phenomenal sunrises!! Very dog friendly as well as human friendly.

Spectacular Sunrises at The Salty Dog

This perfectly appointed cottage showcases stunning sunrises and beautiful views throughout the day. The Salty Dog is well appointed, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Our hosts provided everything necessary to enjoy our stay and promptly answered questions. I highly recommend this lovely property and these fantastic hosts.

Stay at Salty Dog

Very nice propert and location. Conveniently situated in a qhiet area to enjoy some peace and quiet but close enough to Shediac and Moncton to enjoy all the area has to offer. Everything we expected.

Great Summer Stay

We had a great time at the Salty Dog! They provided everything we needed for a nice relaxing weekend. Our friends from Ontario absolutely loved being on the water. We brought our dogs as well and they had a wonderful time playing in the yard!

Quiet Beach Getaway

This beachfront cottage has lots of room outside to enjoy the sun and and is just a short walk to a sandy beach with shallow warm water. Listening to the water with your feet in the warm sand is a recipe for relaxation. Everything you need and very responsive hosts.

Beautiful retreat

The cottage itself was beautifully maintained. We could not ask for a better view of the water and the beautiful flowers around the yard. We are definitely going back next year.
