Exceptional Views in Patons Rock

The views from our house are breathtaking. From Collingwood and Farewell Spit to the North down towards Nelson in the South. With a brand new, 110sqm wraparound deck to enjoy, you can relax and rejuvenate yourself. Our 1975 house is partially renovated and a cosy woodfire will keep you warm in the winter while still enjoying views of the beach. There is a track through the bush at the front of the property that takes you straight down to the beach and a kayak available if you fancy a paddle.
The three bedrooms are spacious with four bunk beds for the kids. Each room has its own sliding door access to the deck and a built in wardrobe. New carpet and curtains throughout. Our bathroom is a little on the tired side but is large and next on our list for renovation. The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, five burner gas cooktop, dishwasher and two fridges. We leave some supplies in the house and you're welcome to use them - please just replace what you use.

Great location and views

Good base to explore the top end of Golden Bay. Close to restaurants (driving) and central for excursions both ways. Large house with all facilities required.

Relaxing Getaway

Really enjoyed our stay and our holiday was over way too soon. Property owner, Lynda, easy to contact and very attentive. The perfect place if you enjoy peace and quiet. The views are amazing.

Golden Bay experience

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property. It was clean, comfortable, warm and had everything we needed. The views from the front rooms across the bay were amazing, the fire on cold nights were so welcome. The house was central to our trips, the Mussel Inn, the Farewell Spit tour, had such a good time, plan to come back and definitely tell our friends.

Perfect stay

This is a wonderful Golden Bay holiday property. It sits above the great sweep of the bay with beautiful views in all directions from the wrap-around terraces. Inside is very comfortable, spacious and relaxing. The house is well-equipped. Paytons Rock is perfectly situated to visit various points of interest in Golden Bay. It is close to the beach and handy to Takaka for quirky shopping and nice cafés/restaurants. We loved staying there and would gladly come back.

Patons Rock

A wonderful place to stay. Great views, great facilities and easy access to a great beach. The bach was very well equipped and had fast wifi and a large Smart TV. The outdoor shower was convenient to wash off the sand and sea water. Very good outdoor deck to catch the breeze, barbeque and soak up the views across to Farewell Spit. It's also close to Takaka as well as all the walks, galleries and beaches along the area.
