A week in the 4th

Well done space that meets all your needs for staying in the 4th . A few worn items but nothing that would keep you from going back . Great local venues all around . Currently heavy construction across the street but it’s time controlled 8-6 and they keep the street clean . Check in personnel are great and administration and refund of deposit was flawless .

Good rating overall

The apartment was spacious, clean, and represented well by the photographs. There were some issues however,. As noted in the one review that was available on the property, , there was major construction right across the street, which was very noisy/jackhammers and all. This went on from 830 until about 5 PM. the closet space was less than adequate. Appliances worked well, except for the combo washer dryer, which apparently even French people cannot figure out. Not sure if it was us or a faulty unit but it was virtually impossible to use the dryer. Because there were 4 adults, this made laundering a little complicated. Importantly, there was only one toilet in the unit Again with four adults over age 70, that created some difficulty we did not choose this unit freely, our previous apartment was canceled with only a few days notice so we were desperate. The host represented both properties so she suggested this location. The prior property was overbooked and we got a weeks notice that our one month stay was only available for the first two weeks. Again this created some chaos and desperation in choosing a place to stay. given the construction noise and one toilet, we would not have chosen this place at the price that it was offered at. Quite expensive since we did lose our one month rate. . We did suffer three cancellations in the periods, leading up to our one month stay. Nerve-racking to say the least.

Marais Vacation

The property was offered by the host because the original property we booked had water damage. We were thankful for the alternative. The property is historic and charming. There is an elevator. We loved the neighborhood. We had seven people and all slept comfortably with one teen on the couch (not pulled out). Note - there are two bathrooms and only one toilet. There is no air conditioning but fans in each room except one which needed to be assembled and propped on a chair. There is construction happening directly across the street so noise levels are high. (June 2023) There was adequate toilet paper, hair dryer, hair straightener, towels and kitchen supplies. We bought and left extra trash bags, Kleenex and paper towels. Cleaning and guest readiness could be improved. The pictures reflect newer and cleaner furniture than what is there. The host and property manager were extremely responsive. The check in and out was simple.
