I'm Cyndy - an architect by trade, a keen traveller, and a host of seven years.

Design is what I do professionally, and it shapes how I set up every place I let. I pay attention to how a room takes the light, whether the kitchen is one you would genuinely want to cook in, and whether there is a comfortable spot to sit with a coffee in the morning.

Because I travel a lot myself, I know what actually matters when you arrive somewhere new: getting in without a fuss, a properly made bed, wifi that works, and a host who replies. Every one of my properties has self check-in so you can arrive on your own schedule, and I am contactable if anything comes up during your stay.

I studied at the University of Melbourne and know this city well, so do ask for recommendations. I am always happy to point guests towards the cafes, walks and neighbourhood spots I would send a friend to.

Fitzroy North is one of those pockets of Melbourne that works for almost everyone.

You are 3.5km from the CBD, so the city is a short tram ride or drive away, but the street itself is quiet and residential. Edinburgh Gardens is a twelve minute walk and it is where the neighbourhood goes to run, read and walk the dog. Brunswick Street and Lygon Street are both a few minutes away for dinner, and there are good coffee roasters within a short walk of the front door. Rushall Station is around fourteen minutes on foot.

It is handy for the practical things too. The University of Melbourne is close by, and the area suits guests here for work or study just as well as it suits visitors coming to eat and wander.

A light filled three bedroom home with two bathrooms, generous bedrooms, and a living and dining area that opens onto an integrated stainless steel and marble kitchen and a sunny backyard.

The balcony catches the sun, there is a dedicated workspace for anyone working while they are here, and a laundry on site. It sleeps eight, and free street parking runs along all the surrounding streets. Please note some streets have two hour limits on weekdays, so check the signs.

Entry is through a secure main door with self check-in, so you can let yourself in at any hour. It suits families and longer work trips equally well - quiet, comfortable, and a short hop into the middle of Melbourne.
