I’ve stayed at Myrtlewood Villas several times and have never had a unit that was as dirty as this or had as many issues as this one did. The overall cleanliness was horrible with large amounts of dust throughout the condo along the baseboards and light fixtures. Several walls had dirt or something smeared on them. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom had broken pole chains to where you could not turn the light off with the pole chain. It could only be turned off with the wall switch. By turning the wall switch off, you also turned the fan off. The fan pool chain was completely missing from the ceiling fan so you could not just unscrew the lightbulbs and have the fan running because there was no pull chain to activate the motor in the fan. The toilet in the main bathroom was constantly running, and I had to physically turn off the valve to make the water stop running.The light fixtures over the bathtub in the master bathroom and over the shower in the main bathroom had burned out bulbs in them, so it was very dark while showering or bathing. When we checked in, there was a bug on the master bed, which I quickly swatted to the floor and killed. Thankfully, that was the only bug that we saw the rest of our stay. Overall, just very dirty and lacked upkeep. We found out during our stay that this unit is for sale, which would explain the lack of upkeep and cleanliness. Seems as if the owner may have given up and isn’t concerned about the happiness of the renters.
