Very comfortable, stone cottage in Fowler’s Bay

Ruth's cottage offers very comfortable accommodation for a visit to this remote part of South Australia. Features 4 spacious bedrooms, main with en-suite, 2 other toilets and shower, large modern kitchen, spacious lounge/dining room with a very warm combustion heater (wood supplied), large rear veranda with gas BBQ, Webber Kettle BBQ and open fire pit for those cosy evening fires. Whale watching tours and take away foods available within close proximity.

On a still night you can hear the nearby whale calls from your bedroom and gaze at the stars through your window. You can relax, unwind and recharge.

Please note linen is not supplied, please bring your own
- Bed sheets, quilt, blankets, pillows cases and towels
- Pillows supplied unless you'd like to bring your favourite!

Such a beautiful place comfy. Has everthing you need bbq cutlery dishes utensils. Fire pit , combustion heater, two bathrooms 3 toilets. Lovley out side area. Plenty of sleeping space. 2nd time ive stayed there and would definitely stay there again . Always clean

Very well set up old house that has been renovated. Combustion heater was a bonus for the cold weather. Travelled for the whale season in winter and was more than happy with the large number of whales in the bay. Well worth the stay at Fowlers Bay as a small group in a spacious house.

Great spot

Fantastic house in a great location, great for large groups or families, we stayed during winter to do the EP Cruises whale watching boat tour and to visit the Head of The Bight. Accommodation was very clean and very comfortable, the wood fire really heated the house well and we enjoyed making use of the outdoor fire pit. The kitchen was large and very well stocked with utensils and cooking items. Use of the oven was unclear and we couldn’t work it out, we had planned oven meals (thinking it was a gas oven) but needed to use the microwave instead. Overall it suited our needs perfectly……but I will be sending some whale photos to add to your brag board!!!!

Great trip

fowlers bay is a remote location that offers great scenic views and wildlife (whales, dolphins, seals, and bird life).We caught lots of fish on the jetty and on beaches accessed by 4wds, and whilst boating.The house was a perfect fit for our party; it has plenty of room and well is set up. It was very comfortable and is warmed by a combustion heater. The house is off grid, so water and power are all maintained on site, we followed the simple rules set out by the owner and we had zero problem. A great comfortable property well set up. we will return in the future Regards Peter

Beautiful cottage at Fowlers Bay

Stayed three nights in the cottage in Fowlers Bay. Handy to whale watching cruise we did and travel to the head of the Bight. Cottage was spacious and a great entertainer. Large outdoor area with BBQ, large living areas, two bathrooms, huge lounge/dining area. Separate kitchen. Wished I had brought more people with us, would be great for two families to share. We didn't have issues with running out of gas or electricity - just follow the rules. TV reception is a bit hit and miss but not a problem for us. Overall, a great holiday home and would highly recommend and would stay again.

Visit the whales

Is an amazing place to stay. So much room and all the comforts of home. We stayed there so we could go to the head of the bight to see the whales. Would definitely stay there again.
