Sunset Retreat by Tiny Away
Summary:
Welcome to Sunset Retreat by Tiny Away! The ultimate farm stay QLD retreat nestled in 7 acres of stunning hilltop greenery above Nanango overlooking 360-degree views of the surrounding countryside with charming rural residences at a discreet distance and vast rambling cattle ranches.
A peaceful countryside retreat where you can hear nature's sweet soundscapes, birdsong, and cattle mooing that breaks the silence.
The Space:
Sunset Retreat by Tiny Away sits in the rural locality of Glan Devon, just an hour's drive from Gympie Queensland. Nearby Bunya Mountains, Goomeri Bakery, and Nanango Markets are a few of the attractions you can visit. The ideal tiny house located in a grassy paddock surrounded by native trees, this secluded retreat offers distant views of South Nanango and the Bunya Mountains.
Starry nights at night are a sight to behold, and at dusk, a big firepit with loads of firewood available and views to admire right at your doorstep. Enjoy breathtaking sunrise views through a soft morning mist floating over the property, which burns off pretty quickly when the sun comes up.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and an excellent bathroom with a cassette toilet and removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers) for your use.
If you plan to spend your farm stay QLD escapes here, we advise that you bring your basic necessities, such as food and water during your stay with us. Thank you!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please advise that there will be some animal and farmyard noise during your stay with us. Given the farm setting, children are welcome under close adult supervision especially small children when around farm animals.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surroundings, except for the main house, veranda, and fenced dog compound. If you are interested, we also have pre-orders listed below by prior arrangement with the land host 24 hrs before arrival.
- We have lots of timber available by prior request
- We have farm-fresh eggs available by prior request
- Vegetable farm tours and pick-your-own vegetables are available by prior request
Nearby shops such as Orchy's Fruit Shop in Nanango offer home-cured bacon, ham, or sausages from the Gourmet Butchery in Kingaroy, as well as local milk, yogurt, butter, and bread.
The Neighborhood:
Sunset Retreat by Tiny Away sits in the rural locality of Glan Devon, just an hour's drive from Gympie Queensland. The ideal countryside tiny home bordered by vast cattle properties with smaller farms located along the road to our property. Although the road is not paved, it is well-maintained for both 2WD and 4WD vehicles.
Embark on a breathtaking scenic drive just 2 hours away, and you'll find yourself amidst Hervey Bay Restaurants such as Enzo’s on the Beach, and Odyssey Bistro, or delight in the local favorite, Maddigan’s Seafood. For sunkissed adventure, the Sunshine Coast Beaches is popular for its white sand beaches, conveniently close to the iconic Noosa Heads Main Beach.
Our local recommendations:
- The Goomeri Bakery offers delicious French pastries and dine-in treats.
- Nanango Markets opens every first Saturday of each month featuring various festivals throughout the year.
- Clovely Estate Red Hill serves delicious platters and homegrown olives at 91 Steinhardts Road, Red Hill both at Moffatdale.
