Overview

About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 6

This dog-friendly, oceanfront Cape Meares vacation rental includes a private hot tub and gorgeous views.

This home is right on the water and about half a block from beach access, located in a quiet coastal town. It's close to places like Seaside, Netarts, and Tillamook, so guests may enjoy peace and quiet and beach side towns with ease.

Entertainment amenities include WiFi, Roku, and a DVD player. With a washer/dryer provided, this rental is just like home! There are new floors throughout, and the kitchen was remodeled in 2016.

Gather together in the gorgeous back yard with a garden patio, a nice lawn, and a bench overlooking the water. Or admire the ocean views from the comfort of the hot tub!

The inside of the home is airy and cozy with lots of windows, an open floor plan, and eclectic furnishings. Snuggle up together for a game of cards in the main living room before the wood stove, or go to the den - it's a little darker in there - for a movie or a sports game.

Cook homemade meals in the kitchen nook. Lay out snacks over the breakfast bar, or dine at the six-top dining table. There's also a four-top table for board games in the den.

Sleep deeply in two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. There's a king bed in the master suite, with beamed ceilings, and a queen bed upstairs. Both have private deck space. A futon is available for extra space, making this a perfect home for six people - friends, couples, or family. Dogs may join the fun for an additional nightly fee.

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, this Northern Oregon Coast home puts you right next to the ocean for the ultimate, relaxing vacation!

Great Location

  • 3 of 5

The property is in a perfect location, quiet and a beautiful view. The house is clean and in great shape on the inside. Make sure you take an early morning walk down the beach to check out the tide pools. The outside is overgrown with weeds and bushes that need to be trimmed and the outside furniture is falling apart. Bring your own towels for the hot tub (unless you don't mind using the bathroom towels) and hangers if you want to hang up your clothes. Minor stuff but you would expect these things to be provided.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this location with another couple for a weekend getaway. The location is wonderful - off the beaten path but close to amenities. We enjoyed the deck, beach and fire pit on the nice day. On the rainy day we enjoyed the wood stove, hot tub, quite setting and cooking clam chowder while watching the surf.

Location!

  • 4 of 5

Great location very comfortable home and beds. Easy walk to beach. Loved the hot tub! Weather wasn't great but storms on the sea have their own great appeal!

Considering how far the property is from Cannon Beach and Tillamook I would say the per night price is a bit too high based upon our experience using VRBO for the last 10-12 years. $700 for 2 nights for 2 couples in March is not a good value. We could have stayed in town for less.

Great view!

  • 4 of 5

This property is in a great location with easy access to the beach, especially at low tide. The hot tub is nice with a good view of the ocean.

Fairly comfortable - We only used the downstairs bed and it was very comfortable. The tiny electric heater in the main area upstairs is not adequate to heat the whole area so you will need to buy wood as they do not supply it. You can purchase from Safeway in Tillamook on your way in. The downstairs den is nice for allowing guests to sort of spread out.

Please note that the wi-fi is very slow - less than 1 mbps don't don't plan to stream Netflix, etc. If you are going to be cooking a lot I would suggest bringing a large frying pan as the one there is a scratched up non-stick that seems to be a bit rusty - otherwise there were a good amount of pots. Also, you may want to bring extra kitchen towels and pot holders as there is only one giant silicone oven mitt that I found un-useable.
