Taking a dog away on holidays can sometimes be difficult. However, the property had a small fenced yard for the pooch.And the house was very clean and, importantly, nice and close to the beach.Strongly recommended!

The house needs a thorough cleaning. Cobwebs hung in every corner, window, and blind. A strong musty odor permeated the air, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere, and even after opening the window and door for several hours, it still smelt bad. However, we truly loved the surrounding area and the beach. For our stay, we also rented the house across the street, which was enormously more appealing and well-maintained. Overall, I felt the pricing was steep considering the state of the property.

Needs a clean and missing small touches
Wasn’t overly impressed with this place. There were cobwebs in windows, with one massive spider web filling the blinds of one window in particular. The front entrance was covered in spider webs and needed a sweep. The blinds were damaged in every room and weren't to current child-safety standards. The house is set up to have the bare minimum of what you need while on holiday, but doesn't feel cozy or overly comfortable if you're lounging at home at night. It misses the finer touches for being a beach house: no broom to sweep sand out of the house, no outdoor hose/brush off area when coming back from the beach, horrible lightning (you feel like you're in a clinic). We arrived on New Years Eve and found that the fridge wasn't working when we arrived and the property manager provided a mini fridge within 2 hours (thank you!). It was a decent solution given it was a public holiday but it still meant that we had to throw out food that couldn't fit in it that we had bought for the week at the beach. Overall, this house is fine to stay at but wouldn't recommend as there are plenty others in the area that offer more for the same price.

We acknowledge your comments on the lack of finer touches, such as a broom, outdoor hose, and lighting, and will assess how we can improve the property to enhance comfort and functionality. We understand how the fridge issue impacted your experience, especially during a holiday, and we’re pleased our property manager was able to provide a solution promptly. However, we regret the inconvenience it caused and appreciate your understanding in this regard.

The neighbours have a home gym in the garage at the back of their property. Most mornings, they worked out 9 – 10:30 with moderately loud music and the garage doors open. Most mornings we just went out. The music wasn’t exceptionally loud, it just beamed into the back of 111. The neighbours are entitled to do whatever they want on their property – just don’t expect a quiet mid-morning when the music is on.
The House Guide says the property has a Nespresso pod machine. It actually had an Aldi Expressi machine. The Nespresso pods that I brought along would not fit that machine. The supplied Expressi pods were not to my taste, so I tried the supplied instant coffee. This was a stale, solid lump in the bottom of the jar. Disappointing. Easy to fix.
The property also has some outside maintenance issues. There are some dusty cobwebs on the walls and windows, including right by the key box and front door – not a great first impression. The red bin also has a decomposing bird(?) carcase stuck in the bottom. When I lifted the lid, the smell was truly ‘epic’. These things are also easy to fix.
The above are relatively minor issues. The property has a great location, is well equipped and clean where it really matters. We enjoyed our 4-night stay.
