Summary:
Welcome to Moonah Breeze, the perfect place to relax and enjoy an amazing sunset filtered by the tops of moonah trees. This three-bedroom two-bathroom home is equipped for families with plenty to keep everyone entertained. Updated throughout with care & attention to detail, our home represents peaceful beachside lifestyle living. It is also a three-minute stroll from the famous Peninsula Pantry café, a popular brunch and coffee spot, Penni Ave Distillery/Bar, and lots the Peninsula has to offer!
The Space:
On entering the home, you will be immediately greeted by natural light and a sense of calm, this Scandi-costal retreat has been recently renovated and refreshed and is ready to host your next family getaway on the Mornington Peninsula.
The spacious lounge with ample seating features a large screen smart TV and using WiFi you can connect to your streaming accounts like Netflix with the press of a button. If watching a movie, gazing out the windows at the beautiful view or catching up on the book you have been meaning to read are not attractive options then why not make a selection from the variety of board games and gather your group around the dining table for some old-fashioned fun?
The open plan living area flows through from lounge to dining across to a well-appointed modern kitchen which in addition to all the equipment needed to cook up your favourite meal. There is also a bottle steriliser provided as part of the additional facilities to make holidaying with a young child easy.
The rumpus room downstairs provides further space for play with a pool table, toys and books for all ages, indoor and outdoor games ready whatever the weather. This comfortable space is also an ideal chill out space for older children. Downstairs you will also find the master suite with queen bed, walk-in robe and full ensuite. This bedroom also has a wall mounted TV for relaxed viewing.
The second bedroom upstairs also features a queen bed and is located next to the third bedroom which has a triple bunk with a double bed and single above (suitable for a child only). Both bedrooms have easy access to the bathroom upstairs which has been recently renovated featuring spacious shower and double basin.
Outside you can enjoy the warm afternoon sun and sunset from either the front deck while sitting on the plush outdoor sofa or from the rear seating area which has a table the ideal size for a cheese platter. Winter nights can be made more cozy by lighting a fire in the fire pit provided. This area is also right beside a pirate themed playground perfect for young children!
Additional facilities provided at Moonah Breeze include portable cot, high chair, change table and a baby bouncer seat. Hair dryers are provided in both bathrooms.
The Mornington Peninsula Shire has a specific code of conduct for people booking all short-term holiday accommodation, if you would like more information about this, please check the Shires website for details.
Guest Access:
You will have access to the 1 & 1/2 lock up garage and additional parking for a SMALL boat, and driveway parking available for up to 3 cars.
Our home is located in a highly desirable part of Rye, you will enjoy the close proximity to Rye Town centre, Rye's shopping precinct, and Foreshore as well as only being a short drive from either Rosebud or Blairgowrie, Rye ocean beach, Moonah Links estate and golf course, Peninsula Hot Springs and the many other local attractions that make this pristine stretch of coastline one of the most sought after in Australia. Your family will love the privacy and rejoice in the fact that you could take leisurely stroll to the famous Peninsula Pantry café, a popular brunch and coffee spot, Penni Ave Distillery/Bar, and lots the Peninsula has to offer!
The Neighborhood:
Our home is located in a highly desirable part of Rye, you will enjoy the close proximity to Rye Town centre, Rye's shopping precinct, and Foreshore as well as only being a short drive from either Rosebud or Blairgowrie, Rye ocean beach, Moonah Links estate and golf course, Peninsula Hot Springs and the many other local attractions that make this pristine stretch of coastline one of the most sought after in Australia. Your family will love the privacy and rejoice in the fact that you could take leisurely stroll to the famous Peninsula Pantry café, a popular brunch and coffee spot, Penni Ave Distillery/Bar, and lots the Peninsula could offer!
Other Things to Note:
1.This property is on bottled gas which we will monitor and there is two bottles on site. If the hot water runs out then it is likely that the bottle has run out and needs to be switched over. The bottles are located on the side of the house near the back door and it is a matter of moving the lever over to the other bottle to engage it and turning the bottle on/open the gas bottle. Should you ever need to switch the gas bottle, PLEASE LET US KNOW BY MESSAGING ON AIRBNB so that we can organise a replacement bottle.
2. Sleeping configurations: two bedrooms with queen beds and one bedroom with double bed and single bunk over **(single bunk is only suitable for a child and is not appropriate for an adult to sleep on)**
3. Security cameras: two cameras monitor the front access and back door, there is nothing inside or on the deck.
4. This property is NOT pet friendly.
5. There is a control panel in the kitchen where the hot water unit is turned on from. Please turn off the panel when you check out.
** PLEASE NOTE: if guests get locked out of the apartment, we may be able to help with spare key but we will have to charge a service fee for the time and delivery (pending availability and distance). After 8 pm and on the weekend, rates may go up. If we are not able to help, it will be the guest’s responsibility to call a locksmith at their own cost. **
Lost key penalty - $300
6. Please check both bottom sliding doors are locked and the piece of timber is returned in the track to stop the door being forced open (bedroom and rumpus room). There are no external keys provided for this door so these doors must be locked from inside and the property exited from upstairs.
7. Please make sure the reverse cycle upstairs is off and the panel heater downstairs is off and pulled out from the wall.
8. Please make sure the sliding door onto the deck is closed and locked.
9. Please make sure all windows are closed.
10. Please make sure oven is off.
11. Please make sure roller door to garage is down (using button inside as remote will not be provided).
12. This property has a spiral staircase which is need to access the master bedroom and extra care is advised for those unsteady or unsure on their feet. Children should be supervised when near the staircase.
13. This property uses a septic system, please use clothes washing liquid provided and refrain from using harsh chemicals down the drains as this may harm the septic system
