Location was fantastic!

  • 3 of 5

House was very rustic but very clean. We loved being on the water and enjoyed the dock so we could use our boat. Was a bit discomforting that the owner and family members we to the dock outside the house multiple times over the week we were there. They may want to consider not renting their personal home if they wish to be there while collecting money for renting it.

A beautiful Summer Vacation on Lake George!

  • 5 of 5

We booked this home last Summer, and had a wonderful stay. This location is on Huddle Bay; a beautiful setting right on the water, with bay and mountain views, full afternoon sun, and gorgeous evening sunsets.(especially from the 3rd level deck.) The home is furnished in mostly an older colonial décor, but very clean with all new major kitchen appliances. The beds are comfortable with quality bedding, and the house was well-stocked with linens, towels, paper products, spices, etc. The outdoor living area is especially nice; with docks that reach out to the water, plenty of patio furniture, barbecue grill, swim dock, kayak, canoe, pretty much everything you and your family need to enjoy the lake. This location is a few minutes from the quaint town of Bolton Landing, which is much more enjoyable than the hectic nature of Lake George village. The owners are life-long residents of the area, and readily offer great tips for area restaurants and other attractions. We loved our stay so much, we are now re-booking for a return this Summer. Enjoy everyone!!

Great weekend stay for the Winter Carnival!

  • 5 of 5

We love Lake George, 1st time here in the winter! Can't wait to come back this summer! This house has an amazing location....and is RIGHT ON the water. We were a bit nervous based on the most recent review, however there wasn't much available this time a year. Admittedly the décor is seventies, however the place was very clean and comfortable. There are brand new Stainless steel appliances (I think we were the 1st to use them) and the beds turned out to be very comfortable. Yes, my wife actually pulled back the sheets to see that at least a couple of the mattresses are brand new! Hal was an extremely attentive host, and gave a great initial tour as well as great recommendations. Looking forward to coming back this summer!

You are paying for a view

  • 1 of 5

We are not new to renting vacation homes using this website. Previous stays at different homes in different parts of the US have been wonderful. Very disappointed for this home. Overpriced for what it has to offer. Not child friendly by any means. Very old home that has not been updated. One air conditioner stopped working and all the filters were filled withe dust. Umbrellas outside had holes in them and did not work properly. Newest bed in house was so uncomfortable that an air mattress was purchased by us to sleep on. Floating platform in water did not have a ladder for kids to jump off of. Beautiful view but for that price, I'd look elsewhere.

Beautiful views of lake and surrounding mountains

  • 4 of 5

Had a wonderful family vacation, great location on huddle bay with views and a dock for swimming or just jumping off the dock. Plenty of " toys" provided as well, floats, canoe, kayak, etc. just 5 - 10 mins from Bolton landing.

Great Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Great location and great outdoor space. Enjoyed swimming every day, as well as kayaking and canoeing. Children, 2 and 4, loved swimming off the dock (in life vests) as well fishing off the dock. Only 2 negatives were old mattresses (no biggie) and ADK ski school in nearby Bolton Landing that runs their clientele in the cove - don't seem to be very safe or attentive to other boaters or people in the water. Can't wait to go back next year.
