The 1101 NW Elm St Cottage is a fantastic base for your visit to the Willamette Valley wine country. The Valley boasts over 500 wineries and the Cottage is located within an hour of both Portland Metro and the Oregon Coast. The Cottage was meticulously remodeled in 2017 and now contains new stainless steel appliances, farm sink, original hardwood floors, new light fixtures, new washer and dryer in an immaculate shiplap laundry room, all new plumbing fixtures, romantic electric fireplace, flat screen smart-TV with bluetooth and surround sound. The Cottage is located on a large corner lot with 14 x 14 sq ft deck off the master bedroom, new dual-pane windows, roof and paint. Best of all, the Cottage is only blocks from beautiful downtown McMinnville, America's 2nd Best Main St. (by Parade Magazine 2014).

About Kevin Kump
I love wine, good food and beautiful landscapes. That's why McMinnville is the ideal spot for my quaint, romantic vacation rental. We spent months carefully renovating the cottage from top to bottom
Kevin Kump purchased this Cottage in 2016
Why Kevin Kump chose McMinnville
I fell in love with the Willamette Valley on my very first visit. The incredible wineries and breathtaking countryside speak for themselves. What really attracted me was the warm, friendly locals and vintage 3rd St. in downtown McMinnville with its unique tasting rooms and restaurants.

Nice little house
It was a cute house in a convenient location. We did have some trouble checking in and I think Kevin forgot we were coming so we hadn't received the check-in instructions and had trouble reaching him by phone. Luckily HomeAway was able to get a hold of him and then we received the code to the door. I'd say just make sure you have the instructions email a couple of days before you go and if not, just email a reminder. Other than that everything else was fine with the house and area
Beautifully decorated and comforfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and WiFi/TV instructions were in the cottage. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back if it is available over our next visit.
Fabulous little cottage
We loved our stay in the Elm Cottage. The neighborhood is really quiet, the proximity to Downtown is great and it’s centrally located for a great wine tasting experience. The cottage is absolutely adorable. If I could pick it up and move it home I would in an instant. Perfectly decorated and extremely comfortable. We will definitely recommend it to our friends and family. ❤️❤️
Convenient for Willamette Valley Winery Exploration
The cottage is very small but worked for us because we dined out and didn't cook in the kitchen, which wasn't as well equipped as we normally expect with a VRBO rental. The amenities listed mention a Keurig coffee maker with coffee. There were five cartridges for the two of us for 3 days and no creamer of any kind. So, we went out for coffee also. We couldn't find any manuals for the various electronics in the cottage or a book recommending local restaurants and other activities although there were various tourist brochures and some outdated wine-related magazines. The neighborhood was okay and proximity for walking to charming Old Town McMinnville and City Park was good. We did a lot of walking and appreciated the location from that vantage point. The cottage was very clean and a better option than staying in a motel/hotel. We would consider the cottage an an option next time we stay overnight in Wine Country.
Very quaint and cozy!!!
Loved this cute little house!! So cozy and comfortable! It was beautifully decorated with so many little details added that made it perfect! Very close to town, only a short walk or drive to many restaurants, tasting rooms, or other shops in town. Thanks for all the great recommendations! We really enjoyed our getaway and look forward to visiting again!
For a couple looking for a great get away, look no further. You won't regret staying here, certainly beats a hotel for the price. Only thing lacking was an ironing board, which as I understand, is being remedied. Easy in, easy out. Great spot. Lovely place.
