Experience a getaway or workation in our delightful 1950s cabin, nestled close to the river, walking trails, and a short stroll to town.

Unwind amongst stunning garden and mountain views. The spacious deck with BBQ and a family-sized table is perfect throughout the day to enjoy a meal, drink in the view, and and chat with the friendly locals - king parrots, rosellas, kookaburras ...

This peaceful, dog-friendly retreat (with 1.2m fencing all round, is accessible via a cement ramp (no steps) to the front door and offers ample off-street parking. It’s the ideal place to disconnect from the world for a few days or use as a base for exploring the breathtaking Upper Yarra Ranges.

Our wonderful guests have left glowing reviews, praising our comfy beds, family-friendly amenities, vintage charm and local adventures. As the nights grow cooler, enjoy the warm glow of the combustion stove (firewood supplied) in the lounge. Bedrooms have heaters and electric blankets.

We had a brilliant stay over the long weekend enjoying the walks and bike trails in the area. The cabin is in a perfect location, short walking distance to the river and the town. It is beautifully appointed with everything you need and the garden is spectacular with rosellas, king parrots, kookaburras and the resident cocky, Cash. Our dog also loved exploring the garden. Leanne is a welcoming host making our stay really relaxed, even going the extra mile leaving out river tubes for our use during our stay (highly recommend river tubing). Highly recommend!

Perfect location for the river

Wonderful stay for wedding weekend

We enjoyed our stay at Idyllwylde very much. Leanne was very prompt with communication and so kind. The home was clean, cozy and well situated in the town, only a 3 minute drive or about 12 minute walk to the main road. Check-in was very easy, as Leanne provided very detailed instructions, and the home was a good amount of space for four people. We would love to stay again if ever back in Warburton!

Mums and boys weekend

Exactly as advertised ! Just a couple minutes stroll to the river which was sublime on days when it was 38 degrees. Cottage had everything you could need and was securely fenced for our dog. Maybe avoid if you have a cockatoo phobia

Home away from home

We could not have had a more relaxing mini-break. The cottage is clean, fully equipped with a peaceful outdoor area. There is a stream running down the back of the property that is calming. Our dog loved the fully fenced yard and the walks nearby. Warburton is such a beautiful place with much more to see than we realised. We cannot recommend this property enough.

Super cosy and comfortable

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy cottage. Everything is in good nic, very good quality bedding and kitchenware. A lot of personal touches - A home away from Home. Fireplace works a treat to take the chill off. The reverse cycle also warms up the place in a jiffy. The kids got stuck into the games and puzzles as it rained most of our stay. Great location - walking distance, along the gorgeous river, into town or the caravan park. We would definitely book again.

Great winter get away

We had a great winter weekend at the property. It's easy to find and very welcoming. Leanne, the host had everything setup perfectly, and the timber fire place added to the ambience for our wine and local cheeses. The welcome pack was a nice surprise. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need, The location is a short walk along the flowing river to the town full of cafes (great coffee at Silva.) There was light snow falling at Mt Donna Buang which was only 20 mins away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay,so much that my daughter didn't want to leave.

As a Melbourne-based family, we purchased Idyllwyde as a place to renovate and enjoy. This is the first time we've had a place to host. While it's significant amount of work, we really enjoy hosting. Our guests have all been lovely, organised, and respectful of the house.

It's just the perfect escape point - not too far from Melbourne. Warburton has its charms all year round, and you can be as busy or lazy as you want to be. We love the river, and being back in the country, with all the conveniences of town - like good coffee :)
