First of all, the good. It had lovely views. Beautiful deck but see comments below. To keep this short I shall bullet point my complaints .....a) No welcome pack with any instructions for appliances.b) Bedrooms - 3 bedrooms on living floor but only 2 wardrobes/cupboards as 3rd was full of clutter and 1 clothes hanger between the 3 rooms!! I ventured downstairs to find a few more hangers but I had a problem with steep, narrow stairs and no safety rail. Who is responsible if someone trips and falls? I did not go down a second time. The pillows were totally unacceptable and in terrible condition with what appeared to be toy filling in them! They were lumpy and extremely uncomfortable. The sheets had been nowhere near an iron and one bed we used had not even been made properly. There was no drawer space at all and we had to resort to using the 3rd bed to put our underwear, folded shirts etc on. Unacceptable. c) Kitchen. Equipment was sparce - only 2 teaspoons for a 4 bed house? No scissors-getting into packs of cereal was challenging! The hob was in really bad condition and still had dirty marks on it. Cleaners appeared to have wiped it with a cloth which had left it smeared! I took photos. We did not use it!d) The deck. We would have loved to sit out in the afternoons to read but there is no shade of any sort eg: parasol. I burn easily and it is accepted that one should sit out under direct sun so ..... Instead, we had to sit in the lounge on sunny afternoons.

Hi Paul!
Thanks for your feedback, it’s a little disappointing you didn’t reach out on your arrival with your concerns.
To confirm each bedroom has a wardrobe for your items, 2 of them the master and upstairs bedroom has a set of draws.
The clutter you refer to is spare bedding, vacuum cleaner and ironing board perhaps we look at finding another space for these.
Thank you for noting the pillows, we’ve never had a complaint so will be sure to purchase some new ones along with teaspoons.
Again as a host and living so close items like these are easily addressed and I could have attended to on your arrival.
Thanks again for your feedback we will be sure to address the items we can.
From the moment you step into this wonderful home you get a sense of something special. Beautifully maintained with wonderful views across Havelock North to the north east. Decor, colour scheme, fixtures and fittings all in keeping with a high-quality property. Beds super comfortable, easy living layout for a family of 5 to relax in without feeling overcrowded. Worked well for us with 3BR and bathroom upstairs and a master BR and ensuite downstairs. Easy 10-15min walk to town which we enjoyed on a few occasions during our stay. Also, it was wonderful early in the morning to drive to the end of the road and onto Tauroa Road to walk in Te Mata Peak reserve. All in all a wonderful way to enjoy a quality stay in Havelock North.
This is a very beautiful, comfortable home in a quiet residential neighbourhood, with close access to the village center and nice restaurants there, as well as easy access to roads in all directions to vineyards and other local attractions. The house itself is clearly used solely as a rental property. The living room and deck are very comfortable, but bedrooms are pretty spartan: just a bed and an overhead lightbulb in each, but very little wall decor, no bedside tables, no lamps, no dressers, and not even hangers in the closets (until I bought some). Kitchen is likewise supplied with just the very basics, and the appliances are pretty old and beat up. Still, a comfortable place to lay your head at night and explore the beautiful Hawke Bay area by day.
A nice property that could be better with some maintenance
This was a great property for three couples to share for a few days in April. Unfortunately there are some maintenance issues which were disappointing and took the shine off the property. Pros- spacious and comfortable living areas with modern furniture and large decking, great views, safe quiet area in lovely Havelock North. Cons- holes in walls and carpet, faulty lock on family bathroom door and no handles on ensuite doors, two panel heaters falling off the walls, can only get hot water in the ensuite basin if the shower is run first, damp mustiness in downstairs area partly due to only one opening window in the area, some pillows need replacing, needs more bedside tables. Be aware that no milk or teabags are provided. Leaf tea was, but no teapot. A property that we would like to rebook but only if these issues are dealt with.

Thanks Gay, as discussed we appreciate your feedback and have since arranged repair to all of your items listed (except the small burn in the carpet)
We will going forward supply a small carton of milk for guests arrival.
Just a small note, tea bags are in the panty and the down stairs bedroom and bathroom has an open window and external door for ventilation.
Thanks again.
