Stylish and perfect for guests looking for an authentic & unique Vancouver experience. Located in a 1912 heritage home with plenty of natural light, wood floors, high ceilings, exposed brick, industrial-style kitchen, and marble bathroom floors. Enjoy dinner at home, a beverage on your private back deck or nestle in after a long day. Steps from all Commercial Dr. culture offering great coffee/food, local pubs, shopping and Trout Lake; very central to all Metro Vancouver, 2 blocks from transit.
The space:
Quaint private deck and seating area off the main entry with garden/mountain views; separate deck off the front which gets sun throughout the day. Spacious and open concept, throughout. Also includes a dedicated workspace with a door, as well as a sofabed in the living room which sleeps one, comfortably. (Extra linens provided).
Guest access:
Free parking space when you arrive and keypad/code entry; everything is accessed from the back lane. Backyard and garden space is also yours to enjoy, at your leisure.

Everything was exactly as described and was close to all the things we wanted to see. Loved that it was steps from public transportation as we use that when visiting cities. So much room to move around for the two of us. Everything we needed was there!

Beautiful space, immaculate, comfortable bed. Sofa bed is good for children but not for most adults. Host quick to respond. Would love to stay longer in this welcoming environment, and highly recommend it.

Our stay was brief but it was great. Susana was easy to communicate with and the suite was clean and had lovely character with modern upgrades. Bed was comfortable and we slept great. We also really appreciated the free parking, We would definitely stay here again.

All the comforts of home!

I would give this place100 stars if I could. Super comfortable bed, excellent shower, well provisioned kitchen, full-sized washer and dryer, convenient to Translink trains and buses and a supermarket. Also lots of space and tastefully decorated. AND a friendly, helpful, but not intrusive property owner on site. (Thank you Susana.) It just doesn’t get any better than this!

Great stay in Vancouver

The home was cozy and clean. Close enough to downtown and North Vancouver to enjoy all the sites. The host was very communicative and kind. As shown in photos, be prepared for stairs to access the unit.

Gorgeous home, steps from Commercial Drive

Beautiful space, the reno is incredible, all the amenities you could want, steps from Commercial Drive, lovely host, easy check in and out, excellent instructions, easy parking. The apartment was perfect for our weekend stay!

Vancouver stay

Great place to use as a base for activities in Vancouver. Lots of traffic was expected at the site and indeed there was traffic, but we had a close parking space that was very convenient. The power went out briefly and Susana was very attentive. JE

Spacious and Beautifully Decorated

We really enjoyed our stay. Our host was amazing, welcoming and generous. The unit is so spacious, each room was very comfortable, and so well decorated. One of the best furnished units we have ever been in. We loved the area as well! The street noise was a little noisy for sleeping so the white noise machine was helpful. Thank you for your hospitality.

Was a great location - easy access to the trains, was able to leave our vehicle and use public transit. Was great to be able to cook our meals etc.

Original BC girl! I was born in Princeton, grew up in Kamloops and made Vancouver my home nearly 25 years ago. I really enjoy being a host and offering guests a beautiful space to stay in while visiting our diverse city and landscape. I'm a professional Interior Designer so for me, evoking emotion and creating experiences through the built environment are one of the things I'm super passionate about. Being able to extend that sentiment through my home, to my guests, is really special for me.

What you'll notice when you arrive...
I always like leave a few special touches like accent lighting prior to arrival, a bottle of wine, snacks, and fresh cut flowers whenever possible :)

A culturally rich and authentic neighborhood, Commercial Drive - also known as The Drive - is one of the best and most colourful shopping, dining and nightlife districts you will find in the city; and boasts home to Vancouver’s own 8 block officially designated Little Italy, representing more than 60 years of Italian heritage. Day or evening, The Drive offers 22 full blocks to explore with over 300 distinct merchants, including quaint boutiques, an eclectic collection of restaurants, a vibrant live music and bar scene, dinner and dancing, theatres, coffee houses, specialty food stores and bakeries. Trout Lake in all its beauty is a mere 10 minute walk from this location; a true oasis in the city. It also hosts a Farmers Market every Saturday from April 1st - October 28. Location is very central to DT and all that Vancouver has to offer. A one of a kind experience. Welcome to The Drive!

Getting around:
Free parking on the premises which is accessed from the back lane. 2 blocks from Commercial-Broadway Skytrain Station. Uber pick-up is available directly from the back lane making it very convenient.
The neighborhood boasts a walk score of 89 and transit score of 93 which means you can leave your vehicle parked if you don't want to drive; nearly everything you want to do is walkable and public transportation is a riders paradise.
