Buena Vista (Nice View) is a 4-season, 4-bed, 3-bath cottage on Maple Lake (approx. 2.5 hours from GTA). With 150 feet of water frontage, this private oasis has beautiful lake views, stunning sunsets and is only 70 feet from the lake. The property is ideal for a family getaway and minutes to:
- Sir Sams Ski & Bike (15 min.)
- Golfing (10 minutes to Lakeside Golf Club and 20 minutes from Pinestone)
- Haliburton Forest & Wildlife Reserve (25 minutes to hiking, snowmobiling, treetop trekking etc.)

Perfect location! The cottage is lake front and within 25 minutes of hiking, golfing and local shops in near by towns. Every season is beautiful at our cottage, the large windows allow you to enjoy the beautiful view, and the property has a relaxed feel and has everything you need to relax. The view at Buena Vista is beautiful at every level of the cottage. We designed Buena Vista for our family with 2,300 sq ft (3 levels) of interior living space that is suitable for a maximum of 10 guests (ideal for one large multi generation family or 2 families). We look forward to sharing our family cottage with other families interested in exploring the Algonquin Highlands.
We will do our best to make your stay comfortable. Please reference the detailed summary below that outlines all amenities and those that are seasonal:
- U drive way fits 3 to 4 cars
- 4 bedrooms including 1 queen, 1 double, 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds (sleeps 10, bed linens included)
- 3 full bathrooms with rain shower head in each (max. 10 bath towels and 3 hand towels provided)
- Fully equipped open concept kitchen (with dishwasher & microwave)
- Dining table seats 8 plus 4 additional stools at kitchen island
- Walk-out basement with 9 foot ceilings includes 50 inch Smart TV (access streaming services like Netflix and Disney+ using your own personal login details)
- We provide a Blu-ray DVD player with a range of family friendly movies and a ping pong table with two paddles
- Cottage has air conditioning, central heating, main floor wood stove and walkout basement has an electric fireplace for extra heating
Exterior amenities available:
- Non slip PVC dock (available 1st week of May to 1st week of Oct.).
- Access to our family peddle boat, kayak and canoe (it’s your responsibility to know how to swim, use the canoes safely and to check them before use). We provide 3 adult life jackets, you need to bring children life jackets.
- Exterior deck seating overlooking the lake (available 1st week of May to mid Nov.).
- Propane BBQ (available 1st week of May to mid Nov.).
- Outdoor picnic area (available 1st week of May to mid Nov.).
- Fire pit with Muskoka chairs (available 1st week of May to mid Nov.).
- Lakeside lounge area to enjoy the sunsets (available 1st week of May to mid November)
