The living-dining room offers a cosy space with comfortable furnishings and thoughtful touches. Whether you're enjoying a movie night on the smart TV, unwinding on the couch, reading a book, or engaging in a board game, you'll feel right at home. The dining area features a quaint 4-seater dining table where you can enjoy your meals.

Adjacent to the dining space, you'll find the well-appointed kitchen, she might be small, yet she's complete with modern appliances and essentials including a full-sized fridge, microwave, oven, stove, cookware and more. There's even a pod machine to enjoy!

The bedroom houses a plush queen bed, built-in storage for your belongings and a desk for any traveling professionals. The ensuite also serves as a laundry area. Inside, you'll find a combined shower/bathtub, a washing machine, and a dryer.

The Neighborhood

East Launceston is filled with gorgeous, 20th century homes which have been thoughtfully restored. As Launceston's premier suburb you will find many shops, eateries and amenities within walking distance.

Make your way to Abbott Street, which is often bustling with locals of a morning and on weekends visiting some of Launceston’s most renowned cafés and shops. Relish Cafe and Maple Cafe are delightful places to eat, both offering outdoor seating options while serving up delicious meals to their customers daily. Stop by the beloved Alps & Amici, where you will find quality, gourmet grocery options, along with amazing, hearty take-away meals.

Take a stroll to St Georges Square Park,where you will find many eateries and shops wrapping around the recreational grounds. Here you will be presented with a range of delicious, local cafes to fill your belly, gift stores for you to explore, and a boutique grocery store to cater to all your grocery needs. This area accommodates a range of local food trucks each evening and provides the perfect space for you to enjoy a peaceful picnic, whilst watching the children play on the play equipment.

Nearby, you will find the Launceston Aquatic Centre. Here you will find a full swimming centre, which includes a large lap pool, an indoor aqua playground, therapy pools and a gym.

The suburb is within walking distance to Launceston’s city centre, providing you with easy access to many tasty cafés and restaurants, an array of shops and boutiques and a vast range of cocktail bars and pubs. Eateries and bars to note include the Black Cow Bistro, Mud Bar and Restaurant, Cataract on Paterson, Cafe Mondelo, Novaros and Cinco Passiones, who serve up arguably the most tasteful cocktails in the city.

There are many local parks nestled within, including Princes Square, full of historical fountains, and the City Park which is known for its beautiful oak tree gardens, playground for the children, a plant-filled conservatory and cheeky snow monkeys.

The Cataract Gorge is a spectacular natural formation where you can enjoy long and short walks, fresh water swimming basins, the world's longest single-span chairlift and vibrant peacocks! An additional, unique way to experience this attraction is via the Tamar Cruise vessel, which cruises through the waters that carve between the rocky formations.

Getting Around

To get the most out of your stay, to be able to explore all that Launceston and its surrounds have to offer, a car is recommended. Additionally, there are many alternative options listed below:

METRO BUS SERVICE: Metro bus service provides transportation throughout Launceston and its surrounding suburbs each day. To access timetables, routes, and prices, please visit the Metro Tasmania Website.

FREE TIGER BUS: The bus travels around the city. There are bus stops located nearby outside Princes Square Park and the Launceston General Hospital. It is easy to spot – painted with the black and brown stripes of a Tasmanian Tiger! For timetables and routes, please see the Metro Tasmania Website (Free Tiger Bus).

INTERCITY BUS SERVICE: Tasmania has you covered with a variety of intercity bus services to make your city-to-city travels a breeze. If you're in the North West region, which includes Burnie, Wynyard, Devonport, and more take a peek at the 'MerseyLink' bus service website for their timetables. If you're heading to or from Launceston and the southern spots like Hobart, make sure to swing by the 'Kinetic' website. Please note that 'Kinetic' has you covered for some routes to and from Devonport as well.

ELECTRIC SCOOTERS: You will find purple electric scooters scattered around Launceston. To access these, please download the App ‘Beam’. Please wear the helmet provided and be safe!

BIKE RENTAL: Roll Cycles at 145 Wellington St, Launceston offer bike rentals with options to suit most riders. Whether you are taking a leisurely stroll around town or taking on our world-famous mountain bike trails, Roll Cycles have you covered.

Comfortable stay

Well located with short driving distance to the city. Certainly walkable but Launceston has a lot of hills.Clean and comfortable.

The black hole

I had inform manager of property that I would be arriving at 10pm and asked for assurance that adequate lighting would help me find unit. I was assured via email that it would be no problem and lit up all the way. Totally absolutely incorrect. The place was black. The front of unit had no street lights, the porch light to unit was off, (this was not fixed my entire stay). The key pad box was located opposite the unit on the front fence which was calf high. I could not see a thing, the path was uneven surrounded by rubbish bins. It was terrible. I tried numerous times to open with the code given I was on my knees with only a phone torch to try to open key box.. I rang the number they had given me, no answer. I thought my fate was to sleep in the hire car for the night, I was NOT impressed by this time it was 11pm. Finally as I was heading off to find a place to park Lauren rang and said she would come out to let me in. Great, she came used her phone torch open door. No follow up the next day, despite knowing the front entry was a black hole and porch light didn't work. The unit was adequate, but nothing fancy at all. I stayed for 4 nights, on the Thursday night I was horrified to discover the the back porch was not secure. The door at top of back stairs was unable to be locked. The back porch had a drying rack for any washing, so I could put my washing out there and have someone hiding and not know it. My WPH&S radar went into overdrive. I didn't sleep that night.
