Experience what it's like to live like an Islander at this charming oceanfront cottage in peaceful Rodanthe. Islander is situated on a huge lot surrounded by natural vegetation for plenty of privacy from the neighboring homes. Dogs are welcome, so even your canine companion can join you on Hatteras Island's pet-friendly beaches during your stay. An expansive east-facing deck with hot tub is where you can soak up the sun by day and lounge under the stars at night. Fire up the grill downstairs and serve your fresh catch at the picnic table while enjoying the refreshing coastal breezes. Inside, you can still admire the ocean view from the comfortably furnished great room with vaulted ceilings and plenty of natural light. Whether you're watching a movie or preparing a meal in the kitchen, the open-concept layout means everyone can still socialize. Three of the four bedrooms are located on the top level with the living area, including a spacious king suite with private bath. The fourth bedroom is located by itself on the lower level - the perfect option for giving kids a space of their own. Bed and bath linens are always included at no extra charge, and the beds will be made with fresh sheets and pillowcases prior to your arrival. The town of Rodanthe is the ideal setting for a laid back, slower-paced vacation while still having conveniences and dining options nearby. If you need a break from the beach, take a trip back in time at the Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station Museum. Reel in the catch of the day from the Hatteras Island Fishing Pier, or enjoy the other side of the island with a variety of watersport activities in the Pamlico Sound. Can’t stay an entire week? Islander is available for short stays and offers flexible arrival/departure options for those who like to plan ahead. In-season partial week stays (three-night minimum) can be reserved months in advance, and guests can choose any day of the week for check-in and check-out. PLEASE NOTE that due to erosion, the beach access at the end of the path behind the house is not currently safe for use. Guests can use the Rodanthe Beach Access, which is the preferred access for the Rodanthe area. The Rodanthe Beach Access is located half a mile from the house and includes a parking lot, showers, well-maintained walkway to the beach, and lifeguard. Pets allowed - one dog only. No smoking/vaping.
