Communication with host was good, but the place lacked necessities like a spatula, toaster or working broiler. Way too much furniture and dust.

Hi Lori, we appreciate you highlighting both the positives and the areas for improvement during your stay. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your review, and they wanted to share the following:- We’re glad communication was smooth throughout your trip.- We’ll be taking your feedback into account as we continue making improvements, including checking kitchen inventory and adjusting furnishings to create a more comfortable space.- The broiler will be inspected to ensure it's in proper working order, and any excess dust will be addressed by the cleaning team. Thanks for your valuable feedback.
Not like photos. Not clean, cobwebs, hair in the tub drain. Very dusty and a very strong musty smell. I would not use Vrbo again.

Liked: Communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
The property is run down and in need of repair. It was not accurately represented in its VRBO listing. It lacked basic and essential amenities, especially for a 6 bedroom / sleeping 10 listing. Water pressure was unbearably low. In the middle of my short shower, the water flow spontaneously reduced to a trickle. After 1-2 mins of this, the water flow returned to its previous stronger but weakened state along with a loud screeching sound from the pipes which lasted 3-4 mins. The beds are uncomfortable, the mattresses are mushy & sagging and appear as to be as old as the house. No A/C and windows painted shut and those that open have worn and dirty screens. We were so uncomfortable and inconvenienced by the property that we checked out early and got a hotel room for our final night. Such an awful experience! Shocking that VRBO would have such a poor quality listing on its site. I request a refund.
I normally don’t write harsh reviews, but this stay was unacceptable from start to finish. I was in Philadelphia with friends to support someone running the marathon, and this booking was made for us — otherwise, I would have never chosen this property. The listing photos are completely misleading. We expected “old-time charm,” not decades of neglect. There should never be a visible layer of dust and grime on the coffee table or side tables. There should never be cobwebs hanging from bedside lamps. And there should absolutely never be pet hair and dander embedded all over the carpets. The level of filth made it clear that this property had not received even a basic cleaning in a very long time. The house is also being used as a storage facility rather than a rental. After looking into it, it appears the owner previously ran a Chinese restaurant — and every single item from that restaurant is now crammed into this home. Menus, sauce cups, supplies, clutter everywhere. It felt less like checking into a rental and more like walking into someone’s abandoned storage warehouse. The check-in process was equally unprofessional. We did not receive the lockbox code until the actual day of arrival and had to call the property manager just to access the building. This property could be decent, but not in its current condition. For the price and the platform it’s listed on, this level of cleanliness and organization is unacceptable.
