The Owner purchased this house in 2006
We have friends who had a cabin in Barefoot Hills, and Sally is originally from Georgia and was familiar with this area.
We enjoy the seclusion and relaxing.
Thank you so much for allowing my husband and I to rent your beautiful cabin. We had an amazing time and were more than pleased. Thanks again for everything. Was a trip we will remember forever :)

What a beautiful home! It's in a great and private location with a fantastic view of the mountains. A great home for 2-3 couples or for family with children, everthing is there for fun, just bring your clothing and food! We enjoyed the pool table, home theater system and wireless internet, all the comforts of home! Very reasonably priced. We can't wait to return to Bear Ridge! Thanks for allowing us into your wonderful home in the mountains!
Had a great time, enjoyed the beautiful view, comforts of the house, and the lovely weather.
This was the 2nd year our family has come to Bear Ridge for our Fall Family Fun trip. We love this place....only an hour & a half from home but feels like we were high in the Mountains. Beautiful views! Couldn't enjoy the fire pit because of burn ban, but loved the hot tub! We'll be back next year!
Loved this cabin. Very comfortable, and beautifully decorated. However the drive up to the cabin takes a little getting used to. A perfect place to stay. We like hiawassee. The shopping there is great. We liked it because it is kinda centrally located, so we could run over to North Carolina and shop, or go over to Blue Ridge and ride the train. Over all great place to stay. Can't wait to go back!
Had an amazing time with friends spending the weekend here. The place was clean, well maintained and was just a beautiful home with a luxurious feel. The fact that there was a hot tub, mountain views, a pool table all in one (and only a short drive from Lake Chatuge) had me sold. I spent several hours online looking for the perfect cabin at the best price and this was it. Ray was also very pleasant to talk with.
Heads up, the road coming up to cabin is very steep. Also, the directions they give you say to take the second right at the stop sign on upper (something) drive. There is no stop sign there that is easy to see so this had a lot of us lost and confused. Would be helpful to give better description for back roads leading to the cabin.
Overall a great stay and would definitely return!
My family of three, as well as my parents, spent a week at Bear Ridge and it wasn't enough time! What a beautiful retreat up high in the Georgia mountains! The cabin is beautifully decorated with all the amenities you need and then some. The views are incredible! We spent the mornings on the huge wrap around porch watching the steam rise off the mountains and the evenings watching the sun set from the hot tub. Many hours were also spent on the porch enjoying the hummingbirds as they zoom through the trees. The accommodations were wonderful; great beds & bedding as well as plenty of cookware in the kitchen, all you need is groceries and clothes. Visited Vogel Park in Blairsville to see the beautiful waterfall, Helen for some German food along with the adorable town of Sautee. Lots of nature with hiking and tubing. This is a great retreat for multiple couples, a large family or a girls getaway. Print your directions since the cell service is unpredictable. Ray, the owner, was wonderful to work with as well as the local manager who lives nearby. We will be returning to Bear Ridge!
the cabin is approx. 7 miles from Hiawassee for all of the services mentioned above.
