Cedar Cove Cottage has quick access to the public boat launch and ATV trails and has ample parking for your trailer right on site. Located near the quaint village of Dorset, home of the SS Bigwin Cruise and walking distance to renowned Dorset Lookout Tower, walking and hiking trails, and a stone's throw from the gates of Algonquin Park. LGBTQ2S - positive space.

There's space for everyone in this bright and warm cottage. The main floor has an open concept full kitchen, living dining area, with a full bathroom, powder room and 2 bedrooms, as well as walkout to lakeside deck with comfy lounging area and dining table with umbrella. Play a game or read a book in peace in the livingroom while the kids watch an evening show in the lower level rec room. The lower level of the cottage offers a generous second living area with smart tv, deep sectional couch and more lake views with full windows and walkout to patio. 2 bedrooms on this level include one with a queen bed and the other with 2 double bunks. Full bathroom and laundry facilities are also on this level.

Outside the cottage your family will love the private yard, BBQ, landscaped lakeside firepit with Muskoka chairs, the sandy beach, perfect for young swimmers, and the large dock. Bringing your own boat for your stay? No problem. The free public boat launch is just 2 doors away!

Our party of 7 had a blast! Terri is a wonderful host, responding promptly and communicating effectively. We were offered an early check-in and a late check-out, which made the weekend getaway perfect!The property is easily accessible from the main road, carefully maintained, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the dining table comfortably seats all of us. The beds in each bedroom are comfy.Our group enjoyed various relaxing outdoor spots, on the deck, in the lanai, around the firepit, on the dock, and in the kayaks and canoe :)The lake is clean, and we're lucky to have nice weather that some of us even swim a bit in October! Definitely would recommend to anyone!Thank you, Terri, for having us! Everyone in our group has already started talking about next time :)

A beautiful well kept cottage with fantastic views of Lake of Bays.We lucked into grest weather with no bugs.The cottage was very clean and comfortable.Terri Hodgson was really helpful and responded to all of our questions very quickly.

Usually photos don’t match the actually cleanliness on check in day, but this reservation did. We appreciated the easy communication if we had questions. The home itself is well maintained and is great for a family getaway. The outdoor space is amazing to hang out all day and swim. They have plenty of kayaks and canoes for a bigger group.

Very professionally managed property. Wonderful touches that make you feel right at home and welcome in the property. Our whole family, including our 10 month old grandchild , had a terrific time. Really loved the screened in gazebo. Only negative (and not fault of owner) was the proximity to the highway , where you could hear the passing cars/motorcycles prominently. Over time you do get used to it . Overall, excellent property.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage! We had good luck with fishing. There was tons of space for our whole family to spread out and relax, and we really appreciated all the comfy seating both inside and out. The screened-in porch was a total lifesaver – we spent so much time out there without worrying about bugs! Plus, the host was just fantastic. We'd definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a great family getaway!

Winter weekend

Our family stayed at this cottage for a winter weekend with lots of snow. The cottage was very clean and had a beautiful view over the lake. We are sure that summers here must be amazing! We would have loved to stay longer.

Family escape

We were a multigenerational group and we all enjoyed the thoughtfully designed cottage, the nearby trails, the beautiful lake, kayaks & firepit. The cottage was extremely comfortable. Beautiful views, furniture and lighting. The nightlights that guide us around the house after lights off were great. The lower and upper entrances were also great. The place had a very nice vibe. The bed linens were clean and soft. It was a really memorable trip for us. There is a road nearby and u can hear cars at times, so it isnt that secluded, but it was perfect for us
