This large family home is a wonderful retreat and has a lot to offer

This house is in a unique environment. Nestled in the Alpilles, the farmhouse is very nicely decorated, here and there are scattered antiques, paintings and hangings. The living room shows an incredible period stone vault and an exceptional custom-made fireplace. Sheltered from view and the mistral, you will stay in total comfort: comfortable sofas, fireplace, equipped kitchen, pool house, patio for breakfasts, large table for family dinners, children's dormitory , many games for young and old (table football, ping pong table, pinball machine, swing.)

Very Disappointing
My family and I stayed at Mas lou Tridas Property # 10852395 Reservation # HA-BQXKV4 which we have rented for a week while my son gets married nearby. We were extremely excited to rent this house given the location and the pool, however upon first arrival we found a significant number of issues which we have spent far too much of our holiday trying to get resolved: - the lounge area next to the pool was covered in dog’s poos which had not been cleaned up prior to our arrival. Th owner suggested it was not her dog but a fox. No new poo appeared during the rest of our stay so clearly NOT a fox. - The pool has to be continually refilled with a hosepipe that runs across the pool area (the house manager, Amelie, has since confirmed this is because the pool has a leak somewhere) - The pool fridge does not work, it does not reach a working cool temperature rendering it unusable - There are only 3 sunlounger chairs (not adequate for a house advertised as sleeping 12). Additionally, only one of these has a cushion to protect skin from the wicker material - 3 days into our stay, the septic tank has began to smell (the house manager, Amelie, confirmed that this tank had failed last week and has had emergency repairs made to it). This smell has got consistently worse throughout the week, seeping into the house and bedrooms at night. - The bicycles provided for use all had flat tires, only one helmet, and the only pump found did not work properly - On entering the house we also discovered there were o No swim towels o Towels provided were small and inadequate No soap o No shower gels o No bathmats (making the tiled bathroom floors extremely wet and slippery for older guests, including my mother) o The toilet seat in the downstairs back bedroom was broken o All but one of the showerheads were so blocked/ calcified that they were unusable. We have had to clean these to attain even limited functionality. o Washbasins at the pool area are blocked with grease. o The plug in the ground floor back bathroom sticks shut making wash hand basin all but unuseable o The house had not been cleaned to a rental house standard - Not until day 4 of our stay was the consierge able to drop off towels and bathmats - The house manager, Amelie, confirmed that many of these issues have been raised by previous renters but have still not addressed by the house owner (despite requests from Amelie). These are fundamental issues for any rental house.
