The Space:
Situated in the heart of exciting Eixample this is a prime location with plenty to see and do nearby. The endless shops, bars, cafés and restaurants and good transport facilities in the area ensure that this is a great base from which to discover what Barcelona is.
This Duplex apartment is ideal for large families and groups of friends. It is divided into two floors, having on the main one a large bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and access to an interior patio!
On the upper floor, find a comfy living area with an open layout to the kitchen. At the end find the other two bedrooms with their own bathrooms and access to an outdoor terrace area.
The apartment has a capacity for up to 8 people distributed in:
- Bedroom 1 (terrace): 2 Double beds
- Bedroom 2 (garden): 1 Double bed + 1 individual
- Bedroom 3 (interior): 1 Individual bed

The swimming pool is currently drained - it has no water.
AC (Mini-splits located in the living room, pool area and bedrooms)
Bed linens (and comforters during winter season) and bath towels (one per guest) will be provided!

The Neighborhood:
Fort Pienc is a neighborhood in the Eixample district of Barcelona. Its name stems from a former military fortification which existed there until the 19th century called Fort Pius, Pienc is an adjective in Catalan meaning related to the name Pius. There has been a strong Chinese presence in the area since the 2000s. The Arc de Triomf is the main attraction in the area, located in Passeig de Lluís Companys-Passeig de Sant Joan, while L’Auditori is an important concert hall.
Getting Around:
The closest metro station is Verdaguer (Lines 4 & 5) and Monumental (Line 2)
The quickest way to go to the airport would be taking the bus "Aerobus" at Plaça Catalunya, in front of "El Corte Inlges". The cost is around 4.5€
Other Things to Note:
*** TOURIST TAX & REGISTRATION PROCESS ***
- Since 2012 the Catalan administration requires that every guest staying in a hotel room or renting an apartment in Catalunya contributes with a small fee of 2.25€ + VAT per person over 17 years old and per night up to a maximum of 7 nights. Also, from 2022 Barcelona City Council applies 3.25€ + VAT to the tourist tax as a city tax fee, also per person over 17 years old and per night up to a maximum of 7 nights.
- This cost of 6.65€ per person over 17 years old and per night up to a maximum of 7 nights IS NOT included on your reservation.
- National and International police demand that each guest, prior to their visit to Barcelona, would send information of their IDs or passports. This is mandatory, as it is stated in Catalan Law, and all legal touristic establishments are required to do so.
- This apartment uses a self-checkin system via the Chekin platform that will allow you to register all guests on the reservation and pay the mandatory tourist taxes before your arrival.

Check-in time is at 17:00 hrs
Check-out is at 11:00 am (non-agreed late check-outs will incur on a 100€ charge per hour late)
*** HOUSE RULES ***
1. Parties, drugs, loud noise or any kind of disturbance towards the neighbors are completely forbidden, with a penalty of 400€ and possible eviction
2. Please observe quiet time between 10pm - 9am.
3. Respect your neighbors and be respectful in common areas (hallways, entrance, elevator, stairs).
4. Loss of keys will have a 100€ charge per key lost.
5. Smoking on interior areas will have a charge of 100€ + all cleaning fees involved.
6. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities.
7. Please leave the apartment in a respectable condition.
Not following those rules will incur on a monetary sanction and the full responsibility of any fines from the local administration or authorities.
