Raasay is a modern, purpose built holiday cottage with ramp access and all on one level. The cottage has private access to a beach just 40 metres in front of the cottage. This is our holiday home, and we look forward to sharing it with you
The cottage has large picture windows giving magnificent views over the Atlantic ocean towards Skye and The Minch, Harris and Lewis. Being in a designated National Scenic Area, and in a Dark Skies area, you'll see picturesque views during the day, plenty of stars at night, and there's even a chance to see the Northern Lights
The Beinn Eighe Reserve and the Torridon Mountains are just a short distance away. This is the perfect place to get away from it all, and if you are looking for outdoor activities including walking, bird watching, fishing, kayaking and whale and seal watching. Sea eagles and Golden eagles are often seen around the cottage area, and binoculars are provided to help you spot them!
Included in the cost of your holiday is:
Electricity and oil fired central heating/hot water
Initial supply of logs for log burner
Towels and bed linen
High speed fibre wifi
The bathroom includes a bath and a walk-in shower
Note: We have our own private access to a public beach in front of the house. It is accessible over croft land, which is often a little wet - wellies are advised. In addition the access down to the beach is steep and not suitable for less mobile people, and great care should be taken. Accessing the beach is undertaken at your own risk, and children should not be allowed onto the croft or beach unless supervised by an adult
Dogs should be kept on a lead at all times unless in the enclosed garden. Please note that there are sheep on the surrounding croft lands, and your dog must be kept on a lead at all times so as not to worry the sheep. This is the law
