There are two large neighborhoods in Quebec, here is the description. The first neighborhood, old Quebec, is the one that everyone will visit. On the other hand, it is mainly made for tourism. You can buy an "I LOVE QUÉBEC" t-shirt there.
The second is mine. The city center which is right next to the old fortification in 10 minutes on foot you are there. I highly recommend this neighborhood. Here you will live with the locals. Rue Saint-Joseph is a superb commercial street where you will find everything you need without even using your car. On this street you will find Everything you want Shop of all kinds, cafe, restaurant, bar, nightlife, grocery store, pharmacy etc. all within walking distance.

You won't need your car here, Everything done on foot, If necessary the bus system is very efficient.
