Three years ago my husband and I sold our family home near Waco, TX and decided to turned our horse/goat barn into our home that we could live our best life in and rent as a short term vacation rental. My husband, Rodger has sawdust in his blood and has done construction since his twenties in his home town of Houston. Even with a degree in Design and Drafting from South Arkansas University Tech. , this project took about two 2 years from the design phase to the foundation and construction. About 9 months into the project I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and had to have surgery and treatments. After that little break, Rodger was back at it and finished the project in late 2019. The Lord has blessed us so much along the way and it's still a work in progress! We are thrilled to share our home as a vacation property and love meeting new people!

We can seat 18 for dinner and sleep 18. We have a hot tub on the back deck and a corn hole game. Families love their time here and even love being caregivers for our horse during their stay. You’ll have over 1000 ft.² of outdoor living space to enjoy a relaxing outdoor meal and the back deck overlooks the horse pasture. We are just 2 miles from I-35 for quick access to Waco and Temple.
