Great beach side stay
The location of this property is excellent, 50 ft from the beach. It is not handicapped accessible and has lots of stairs. The enclosed deck and walkway was great to contain the kids and dogs. Sunsets and sunrises are beautiful and restaurants/shops are easy access, some by walking.
The rental was not spotlessly clean as we had asked given the one other highly negative review. Kitchen drawers and utensils needed cleaning, windows were dirty and many don't work/have no screens/have construction tags, sofa and chair were so stained we had to cover with sheets, a dirty sock along with dirt was under the sofa, and half the outdoor furniture was covered with bird droppings... The good news is, it is very easy to clean up and we did so at the start and end of our stay.
It sleeps 8 adults in four bedrooms, with an extra room with bunk queen size beds we didn't use. The one king bed had a very uncomfortable and noisy mattress/spring support.
The staff at Better Beach were very unhelpful dealing with concerns regarding the one very negative rental review on VRBO. They in the end assured us it would be spotless on arrival, not really the case. As with all beach houses, expect a few bug visitors in the night in bathrooms and wet areas.
Despite the minor drawbacks, we had a wonderful time in this house. The beach and area are a fantastic place to stay. The house was very fun to stay in, the kitchen was well equipped and helped us make great meals, and the renovated spaces cleaned up easily. It was very dog friendly and easy to keep clean with pets.
We filled out a post visit survey with great detail and we hope BBR will act on the suggestions and issues we gave them to make future guest's stays even better.
