Come enjoy staying in the heart of Destin at "Catching Rays"

Our family friendly complex offers 3 community pools and a small pond right behind our building for a relaxing stroll! We're approximately 3/4 mile from public beach access, and walking distance to many restaurants, family activities, parks, and shopping!

PLEASE NOTE: At this time our HOA is doing a full remodel of two of the community pools. During this time the Heated pool near the tennis courts & the pool near building 6 will be unavailable to guests. The pool next to building 21 will be available for guests during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience, but are looking forward to our brand new pools soon!

**All guests MUST read our listing description & House Rules in full before booking. This home is not a good fit for everyone, so we want to ensure you have a great stay.**

"Catching Rays" is a 1 bedroom condo with accommodations to sleep up to 6 guests. Our design and thoughtful touches will have you feeling right at home for a short stay, or you family vacation!

When you arrive, you'll walk right in to the living room that boasts a comfortable queen sleeper sofa & two accent chairs for lounging. Our dining table area sits right by the windows in the open area right off the living room. With a wall of windows & sliding glass doors encompassing the living room the natural light is incredible! We've added a brand new Roku Tv with standard Cox cable offered for our guests convenience. Guests can feel free to login to their own media (Netflix, while traveling as well!

The kitchen area has an open concept to the living room for enjoying your meals and time together. We've stocked this kitchen with full appliances, dishes, bake ware, pots & pans, silverware, utensils, crockpot, blender, and a traditional coffee maker & Keurig! If you plan to cook during your trip, we encourage you to bring along any spices, condiments, & oils you may need as we do not provide any perishable or non perishable items. We have an easy to use high chair, cutlery, cups, and plastic dishes for our tiny travelers as well!

Directly off the living area you can find the bedroom with a memory foam King bed with an abundance of pillows for a comfortable nights sleep. Under the King bed are two memory foam twin trundle beds, that easily pull out on either side of the bed. A pack and play is offered for families with little ones traveling-one less item to pack! A Roku enabled tv with cox cable here is perfect for relaxing in bed watching your favorite shows at the end of the day.

The bathroom offers a shower & tub to enjoy baths, soft towels, and plenty of space to get ready in. We've designed this space with the comforts of home & not a cramped & cold hotel feel!

Our laundry room offers guests the convenience of a full washer and dryer for use during your stay. No need to visit the laundromat!


A few important things to keep in mind:

-We do not permit one night bookings/instant booking for weekends/holidays at any time.
-Extra guests not included in the reservation are not tolerated, please book with accurate guest count for your stay and to ensure we’ve provided enough linens as well.
-Due to this being a residential complex, noise ordinances are at 10pm sharp. We do not permit excessive noise, parties, illegal activity, or disturbances at any time.
-This condo is video monitored outdoors for security purposes at all times.
-This is a bottom unit, so there is a potential for noise. Any noise from the top floor is beyond our control. If you are extremely sensitive to noise we do NOT recommend this location, please ask us about another location that may be a better fit for your stay!
-While we do host groups 25 years or younger at our discretion, we must be notified before your confirmed booking. We do not host one night bookings for ages 25 and younger at any time.
-Any stay that a house trained pet will be included in MUST be disclosed when booking, as a pet fee of $50 is required. We do not accept more than 2 dogs, and pets must be crated when unattended and cleaned up after inside and out. Pets are not permitted on furniture at any time. ADA recognized service animals are not charged a pet fee, but ESA (Emotional Support Animals) are still subject to pet fee. False information regarding a service animal is against the law in our state, so we appreciate your honesty in this matter.
-We are NOT beachfront, you can't see the beach, you can't stick your toes in the sand from the front door, and you do have to get in your vehicle to drive to the PUBLIC beach access that is 3/4 mile from our condo. We do not have a gated or private beach access at this location. We do provide beach towels for guests but any other beach or pool items are not guaranteed.
-This is a mixed community with residential & short term guests alike. While the gated community itself is a "community in transition" with updates to the exterior being improved steadily, we do not have control over any "look" of the exterior of our condo. We have gone above & beyond to create a beautiful & cozy space INSIDE for our guests enjoyment!

We are always available for our guests anytime before and during your trip. It is highly encouraged to read our listing in detail for any questions about the space, location, and amenities.
We ask, please, for NO text message communication as you will not receive a response. Our strong preference is communication directly through your booking platform so that we have all the details of your trip to make assisting you a breeze.
If you’re a first time traveler, please download the app of the platform you've booked with for ease of access to your trip details & communication.
For more immediate needs and emergencies please place a phone call to Matthew (and be sure to know where you're staying and the logistics of your trip!). We can be reached most times of the day, with the exception of the middle of the night-and will do our absolute best to take care of any needs and questions as soon as they arise!

-This complex is a community in transition. While the exterior of some of the buildings can be intimidating & maybe not what you may be expecting within a gated community (they were built in the 70's) please know that this is beyond our control. The grounds are cared for daily by the HOA. We take excellent care of the interior of our place & if you have concerns please contact us ASAP.

-Extra guests (including those "stopping by") that are not included in the reservation are not tolerated. Please book with accurate guest count for your stay and to ensure we’ve provided enough linens as well. If you have questions related to this, please feel free to ask! -Please do not leave belongings, chairs, or trash outside of the unit at any time, as it is a violation of HOA rules and regulations.

-Smoking of any kind is not permitted at any time inside, or in the breezeways. Smoking may be done away from the buildings, and any debris disposed of after smoking is required. Evidence of smoking indoors (any odor, burns, or debris) will be an automatic $500 charge to the guest.

We do not issue refunds for lack of amenities (TV, internet, a/c, etc.) as these types of outages are beyond our control but we will do out best to resolve issues as quickly as possible.

Any violation of house rules or Airbnb terms and conditions are subject to eviction without refund and/or loss of security deposit.

We had an amazing stay….the outside of the buildings need quite a few repairs but our unit was very nice….the owner was very responsive to my messages…..unit is very centrally located! We will stay here again!
