Get reacquainted with family and friends at the Rivendell Cabin. Features include a A/C, a private dock, fire pit, 2 outdoor decks with incredible lake views, and an open-space concept grand room for all to gather. Wintertime fun includes ice skating on Baynes lake, snowshoeing, ice fishing and cross country skiing. A short 30-minute drive will get you to Fernie Alpine Resort and 1 hour to Kimberley Ski Resort.

All properties are equipped with decibel monitoring software. Our neighbours would appreciate you respecting our zero-tolerance policy to noise complaints and the quiet time rules being respected. Due to the new regulations at Baynes Lake, capacity cannot exceed 10 total guests or fines will occur. Max. 5 parking spots and no street parking allowed.

Great family vacation
We had a fantastic time at Rivendell Cabin. Baynes Lake is gorgeous. The house has so much room. The kids loved the bunk beds. The kitchen had everything we needed. The weather was always a few degrees warmer than Fernie when we were there. Definitely recommend.

Very spacious
We enjoyed our stay, the home was the perfect size for our big family. We arrived in February and were disappointed with the driveway full of ice, and the whole outside area needed snow removal so we spent 3 hours doing that a little disappointed as we had no choice but to do it or otherwise we could not get down to the lake, or sit around the fire pit, Diana was amazing she did everything she could to look after us. We would definitely stay again. .

Lovely spot on Baynes Lake.
We were 13 people from four generations, so ranging in age from 2 1/2 to 83. Enough rooms for all, the suite above the garage was great. Kitchen is a good size and having two dishwashers made things easy. The basement smelled a bit mildewy and there were quite a few spiders but all OK. We were under the impression that the house was air conditioned, but it was not central air. Every bedroom had its own portable air conditioner, but the main living space is not air conditioned. We opened all windows at night and put one of the portable units in the living room and it worked out all right. A couple more units would have been perfect but this was not a deal breaker. The view from the house is stunning. Prettiest place we have ever rented. The water was nice and warm but it is a small lake, so not really clear, but we swam every day. Fishing from the dock was great fun and tons of walking trails accessible right from the cabin. We would rent this again.

Snow in driveway and entrance to cabin should have been cleared or at minimum a shovel on site. Mouse droppings were found in bedrooms and dead mouse in basement.

Space and comfort on the lake!
What a wonderful home! Our group of 15 had more than enough room to sleep and to spend time. Incredible for a large group or family! The outdoor space and the dock/lake were just great. There was a paddleboard, floaties, and a canoe. We fished, paddleboarded and swam. Our teens had a blast finding turtles sunning themselves. The small touches were appreciated - flashlights, kindling set up in the fire pit, the awesome basket of books. This property is very well managed! So professional and quick. We would love to come back!
