Positioned neatly halfway between Florence and Siena, it is only 38 km from Florence airport, making it the perfect base to explore the Chianti countryside, with its picturesque hilltop towns, wine estates and welcoming locals. From the moment of arrival, you’ll be transported to the rich history of Tuscany.

Il Maggese is a peaceful corner in a clearing surrounded by oak forests and vineyards. Three distinct dwellings united by their classic, elegant farm style, and a thriving garden scattered with fruit trees and roses.
The Maggese Area garden is picturesque – soft green fields, large oak trees, fig trees, small apple trees, olive trees, thriving rosemary bushes and corners brimming with lavender. The three stone dwellings are joined by a stone path leading to the swimming area, which is equipped with comfortable loungers for sunbathing. A few steps from the pool is a fully equipped gym with showers and a Turkish bath.

Maggese consists of three separate houses in this meadow: the main farm house called La Villa, the neighbouring Il Cottage and Il Fienile. Among the mulberry and olive trees you’ll find the main farmhouse, while the Cottage and Fienile are nestled between some small cherry and fig trees. A couple of steps from these stone houses you’ll find the swimming pool, a small gym and the hammam.

At the heart of this farmhouse is its large kitchen and dining area. The spacious living room with fireplace is the perfect place to spend cooler evenings.
