Mar y Sol | Water View, Steps to the Beach!

ATTENTION: Private balconies are currently unavailable, and although the hot tub, Beach Entry Pool & East Pool will remain open, the Maravilla Resort Pool will be closed due to the construction maintenance of building C effective November 1, 2021 for an undetermined length of time.

Maravilla 222 - Mar y Sol is a charming one-bedroom, a one-bath condominium that will accommodate 6 guests.

The living/dining/kitchen area has been updated with modern furnishings. The pub-style dining table sits at the large sliding glass door where guests can also enjoy the views of the beach (even on rainy days). The large bar area (with 4 stools) separates the kitchen and living areas. The kitchen is completely stocked with dishes, Keurig coffee pot (bring your own K-Cups), 12 cup coffee maker, slow cooker, George Foreman grill, bake a cake while you are on vacation!

The unit has a king bed in the primary bedroom, television and ceiling fan. The living area has a queen sleeper sofa, and the hallway alcove offers a full-size set of full-size twin bunks so this unit can accommodate a family of 6.

The bath features a step-in shower with a grab bar for ease in use (no tub).


MARAVILLA RESORT

Maravilla Resort amenities include 3 pools (1 is heated in the winter months), hot tub, fitness center, covered parking, coin-operated laundry is located on every floor, grills, lounge chairs, cabanas, twister, volleyball, corn-hole, hopscotch, ping pong and pool floats. Maravilla Resort condos make the most of the views - all units offer a private balcony and many offer Gulf Views or pool-side units offer courtyard views. Guests will love to watch the waves roll in and crash against the Seawall, watch the seagulls and pelicans fly overhead. Maravilla Resort is located directly on Seawall, half a mile past 89th Street, towards the West End of the island, just before the Seawall, the world’s longest continuous sidewalk, ends, and that is just the beginning all the excitement near this family-friendly complex.

Create your own adventures with beach gear and golf cart rentals, a sunset cruise or a bonfire and smores on the beach. Gulf Coast Concierge also offers fishing charters, photo sessions, and a variety of in-home services. If you can dream it, we will do our best to make it happen!

Marvilla guests have two unassigned, covered parking spots per unit. Carpooling is highly recommended.

Most HOA fees (resort, parking, amenity, etc.) are to be paid directly to the HOA upon arrival.

Some Maravilla units have a bunk bed or bed in the hallway alcove area (24 by 72 inches), and are typically only recommended to accommodate children or small adults. Guests should review sleep arrangement options to determine if setup would be comfortable for their group.

Some of the properties Ryson manages require additional fees for things like parking passes, resort fees, amenity wristbands, etc. be paid to the HOA upon arrival directly. Resort amenities, including advertised elevators, require maintenance and from time to time may be unavailable for guest use. Every effort will be made by Ryson to notify the respective HOA. However, please understand, Ryson has no control or authority in completing necessary repairs or routine maintenance. If elevator use is a requirement for any guests during your stay, please contact Ryson prior to booking, and we're happy to go over available options (alternate elevator available on premises or locating a better limited mobility friendly access unit).

Even if listed as a provided amenities, Ryson is unable to guarantee specific cable package, network or channels or cable and internet signal quality and cable may not be available on all TVs.

All reservations require a completed Ryson Rental Agreement, and the agreement holder must be at least 21 years of age to rent this property and provide a valid ID at check-in. Check-in time is 4 pm and check-out time is at 10 am.


EXTENDED STAYS

Monthly rentals are considered in the off-season - Winter Texans, snowbirds, retirees, corporate stays, medical professionals, university students and plant workers are welcome. Extended stays or monthly rentals require a stay of 30+ nights, and these reservations are tax exempt. This is an immediate savings of 15%! Although most extended stay reservations are between the middle of November through February, extended stays may be considered anytime between Labor Day and Memorial Day. Extended stay reservations may not be placed online, but a Ryson Vacation Planner would love to answer any questions you may have and help you reserve your extended stay.

Mother/daughter mini weekend getaway
The condo was clean, had everything we needed and the balcony view was relaxing. The location of the property is perfect and central to Galveston's seawall restaurants and the beaches. Maravilla has become our go to property to just get away quickly and relax. The property also has several units that are dog friendly which I have used in the past. The pools are beautiful and relaxing and the office staff are always super friendly and kind. One friendly suggestion for the property would be to add more lounge chairs at the pools. When it gets busy they run out. I love the fact that this property is dog friendly and has a dog park for the units that allow dogs. Everything was great with the exception of one issue. We enjoy watching series of shows at night and there is no netflix. Unfortunately our WiFi in the condo was not working therefore I ended up using the Hotspot on my phone to stream my mom's shows to my laptop. My Hotspot ran out of data. I messaged the host a few times and was told it would be fixed but nobody ever came out to fix it. The 2nd night we would have liked to unwind watching the show but could not without WiFi. That was really my only disappointment. But I would stay in this condo again and had a great weekend.

Mediocre condo
This is definitely one of the most sub parts units I've stayed in at this property. This unit actually looks as old and unkempt as the property itself. The bed is hard and uncomfortable, the bunks are such a tiny Nook that my daughter slept on the couch. Speaking of the couch... a representative from Rysom called me on Thursday to inquire about the number of people I had staying because the sofa bed is broken. I asked her if we could still sir on the sofa and she said, "oh yes! You can sit on the sofa. It's just the sleeper doesn't work so we have a blow up mattress." Last night my child sat on the sofa and it dropped in the broken spot!!! This part of the complex still cannot use the balcony and I swear there was absolutely no mention of that and definitely no price concession for this. The quality of this unit is low. The value for what I paid... I'd like half my money back. I will absolutely never stay here again.

The worst VRBO we have ever been to
This place need to be shut down and have a complete overhaul. The elevators barely work and had to be worked on while we were there. The drawers in all the cabinets and dresser fall out if you pull the drawer more than a quarter of the way out. The space is extremely cramped. Technically it can sleep 5 people. Four normal size adults this trip and you have to turn sideways and brush up against each other to get around the unit. Huge hole in the wall behind the door. Hard to believe someone inspected this unit prior to check in. Most all furnishing are from the dollar tree. Balconies are closed off because of rotting building structures. Worn and out dated are the best words to describe this unit and the Maravilla Seaside Condo buildings. Worst stay ever.
