This inviting home has 2 living rooms both with large flat screen TVs, (4 TVs total in home) 4 bedrooms with beds for 15, Free WiFi, festive "Americana" style kitchen with cozy nook opening to patio and grill, and large dining room. You can actually feel the love and gratitude of the family that own and lovingly renovated this home when you walk in. The large basement is a hit with the young ones, with lots of play room and room for indoor camp outs, and even a ping pong, and bumper table! Plus several original arcade games! And for adults there is a brand new beautiful full size pool table.
There are 2 living rooms on the first floor with master bedroom and en-suite bath, along with kitchen, nook, guest 1/2 bath and patio. On the second floor are three bedrooms rooms and a full bathroom with bathtub. One large bedroom has a queen bed, plus a twin over full bunk bed and a trundle and lots of space including a huge walk in closet. The other two rooms each have queen beds with an adjacent twin bed. This is an absolutely delightful home for family and friend reunions and precious summer memories.
The location could not be better. Located on Cape Neddick, a short walk to the most photographed lighthouse in America: the 1879 Nubble Lighthouse, and just blocks to downtown York's picture-perfect harbor, with restaurants and shops. The beach, “Fun-O-Rama”, arcade, ball parks, shops and restaurants are all walking distance.
Long Sand beach is nearby and is best known for its 2 mile stretch of white sand and good surfing action. Short Sand beach is popular for its amusement park feel, carousel, playground, arcade, and the famous Golden Rod candy shop built in the 1800s, where you can watch taffy being made.
Enjoy hiking the coastline, and the Cliff Walk, across the wiggly bridge, taking in amazing views of fishing boats, York River, the Atlantic, and Boon Island Light. Or hike nearby Mount Agamenticus at 692' above sea level. with views at he summit as far as Boston, Cape Elizabeth, and Mount Washington.
There is also golf at 2 of Maine's finest courses, and kayaking down the smooth, 13 mile York river to the Atlantic, tennis, mini-golf, museums, and Maine's largest zoo.
