This cottage is not the usual vacation rental. Every detail is beautiful and thought out. Dave collected antique cypress architectural elements and furniture during his career. Several have been retrofitted into the cottage, creating a one-of-kind experience. Valorie chose a mix of quality furnishings and art that you won’t see anywhere else. All new modern amenities have been installed.
The town of Bay St. Louis is a little gem. It is a town if art and artists. There are art murals everywhere on the buildings. Dave and Valorie commissioned local artist Tim Kennedy to paint a mural on a shipping container in the yard (used to store Dave’s tools in). It features a big beautiful butterfly that you can stand in front of for a photo for social media or your memory album. There is a butterfly garden in front of the main house that was planted by Dave and Valorie instead of a lawn. You are welcome to take pictures of it. The Love Shack is right in the middle of Old Town. You can walk to everything. The train runs right in front of of our property, something we love to watch. The train whistle is loud but not annoying to us. Church bells from Our Lady of the Gulf can also be heard ringing the hour.
