Duck is often touted as one of the best beaches in America for families thanks to the small town feel. Neighborhood beach access is just a short, shady walk away.

Ac/heat center filter/vent are very filthy. .. u couldn’t miss it… could see right there .. it didn’t damage ur ac/heater. (Choked w dust - badddd ) carpet are so awful , smell odor… don’t u think it s time to update w the key. Think about keypad.. I had to call cop cuz I couldn’t reach the person who rent the house. Not even on the list .. but lucky cop was so nice .. he helped me to find the person for extra key we locked up ourselves out. Should have keypad .. we went to OBX many times all keypads… Lights and ceiling fans are Screw up. Poor instruction. Bad experience for me. Nice house but they don’t neglect it .. housekeepers do nothing …outside wow bad webs. All over we killed two poison. Spiders… I suggested u to check the housekeepers. They did nothing! When we arrived there on first day.. the house was NOT lock .. never again .. no hard feeling

Sound and Sea Needs Cleanup Crew
Well-appointed and updated house, nice sound front location. It is obvious very little care or attention has been paid to cleaning and maintaining this unit. We had a major kitchen sink drain fail, that was repaired by us until the (very responsive) property mgr could fix. Little things like broken deck umbrellas, non-functioning gas grill, several burned out light bulbs, some lamps not working at all, were just an everyday annoyance. House needs attention!

Nice but needs cleaned
The property accomidated our group farely well. Had plenty of dishes, pots and pans and what ever else you would need for the week to cook. I was not aware that you would have to provide ALL toiletries. Not only is the outside of the house COVERED in cob webs and millions of spiders, when we first arrived at the house there were spiders all over the celing in the kitchen. It was so bad, the first hour we had to go around the whole upstairs (mostly kitchen area) and vacuum them all up. At the end of the day it has potential to be a great house if someone would take two weeks to completey clean the inside and ouside, and change the air filters in the kitchen, and remove the old crusty fridge in the parking bay.

Functional and dirty
The house accommodated our family well. The layout was good, kitchen fairly well stocked, and the views were beautiful. And the house was in desperate need of power washing and a good cleaning. We expected spider webs but they were everywhere with no attempt to knock down those all along the entry. The glass door in the entryway had filth stuck to it, and same was true of the vent between the kitchen and FR. Lots of stains on the carpet and several maintenance issues like bulbs out, lamps not working, etc. I shared this info soon after we arrived and received no response from the realty company - not even a "thank you for bringing this to our attention." And know that you have to provide/rent your own towels and sheets. The house isn't as new as it appears in the pictures. They did respond quickly after two TVs wouldn't work and got a technician out to the house the next day. And they texted to let us know we could take possession of the house early. (I would have preferred housekeeping spend more time cleaning, however.) If more of an attempt was made to make the house look better and take care of the maintenance issues and really dirty areas (and remove the old refrigerator sitting by the parking area, I'd give the house 4-5 stars.
