❖ HOUSE RULES:
• Quiet hours after 9pm
• As the house is on a septic system, please only flush toilet paper down the toilet
• Please load dishes into the dishwasher before leaving
• Please no shoes in the house
• Please turn off outdoor lighting when not in use to preserve the incredible stargazing in the area
• Please be aware that the house is situated in an area rich with desert plants and animals. This includes many Joshua Trees, rabbits and coyotes, but also sharp cacti and rarely desert critters such as spiders, snakes and scorpions. Therefore, we ask that you practice caution while walking around the grounds
❖ Dog owners agree to the following additional rules:
• To pay the pet fee $200. Maximum to 2 pets allowed.
• Outside the house, dogs should be leashed at all times. There are coyotes in the High Desert, which present danger to unleashed dogs. Cacti can also cause injuries to dogs. Dog owners bear full responsibility for the safety of their dogs.
• Owners must immediately pick up after their dogs and deposit waste in a plastic bag and place it in the garbage bin
• Dogs are not to be left unattended in the house at any time. In addition to our additional dog cleaning fee, we will deduct the costs of extra cleaning or repairs necessitated by the presence of your dog.
❖ Pool and Jacuzzi Heating
• Please let me know in advance if you'd like to use the pool heating.
• There is an additional per-night fee to heat the pool due to the amount of gas used by the heater. There is no charge to heat the jacuzzi. Below is the heating fee schedule for the pool:
• $150/night: May - September
• $200/night: October - April.
• The pool is not allowed to be heated above 88F even with the heating fee i.e. it's not to be used as a giant hot tub. If I find the temperature has been set above 88F I reserve the right to lower it and there may be even further charges because of the extensive energy costs required.
• There is a single heater used for both the pool and jacuzzi so only one can be actively heated at a time e.g. if you turn on the spa heating it will temporarily redirect heat from the pool while in-use. I have not found this to be an issue as the pool retains temperature pretty well.
By booking, the guest agrees to the following house rules.
General Rules:
POOL HEATING FEES:
- $150/night May - September
- $200/night October - April.
PET FEES
- One-time fee of $200 for up to 2 pets
- Up to 2 pets allowed.
- No parties.
- No smoking or vaping of any substance anywhere on the property.
- No blasting of music or loud noise.
- There will be charges for excessive cleaning and maintenance if rules are not followed and the house is not left in good condition like you found it. This includes, but is not limited to, excessive trash, leaving dirty dishes / food, dirty grills, dirty hot tub, broken items, etc.
