This Vermont farmhouse was built on the edge of the Green Mountain Forest in 1986 by its original owner, and has the spaciousness of a contemporary home while having the charm of an historic one. The house has three bedrooms, with a master on the first floor, and two bedrooms upstairs (one king room and one room with double beds), sleeping eight people total. The substantial kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and entertaining, complete with a dishwasher, microwave, and a range of tools. A beautiful formal living room has plenty of room for relaxing, playing games, and enjoying the fireplace. In the basement, there is a large family area for relaxing and enjoying movies. Throughout the house, visitors will find personal touches through vintage artwork, antiques, and a thoughtfully curated design.
On the property is also a three-season screened cabin perched over Roaring Brook, which acts as the rear boundary to the farmhouse. The brook can be heard throughout the house on summer days, and is a perfect place to sit on the deck overlooking the water, or napping inside. We do our best to leave the cabin available throughout the year, though access may not be possible in winter because of snow.
