Nice Thanksgiving
finally visited Traverse City for the first time, stayed here and enjoyed our time. It was only about 20 to 25 minutes away from downtown Traverse City. It was also a short drive to sleeping Bear dunes national Park, which was fun. Troy was very responsive to texts and emails and definitely went out of his way to make sure that our stay was comfortable and met our expectations. there was even a nice gift package with Thanksgiving cooking supplies waiting for us when we got there. Would recommend this property for anyone visiting the area!

Nice quiet getaway
Nice cottage on a lovely small lake. Very peaceful and plenty of space and in a great location. The place could use a few updates: the bed in the master bedroom is old, metal framed and not very comfortable. We actually slept in the bunk room which has better mattresses. The water does have an odor which is common for lake houses so no issue there however, we lost water pressure half way through the trip. There are (2) shower heads which should be replaced by a single which may help. 2-3 main light bulbs were out, easy fix just an fyi. All in all great trip and hosts, just know it's a more cottage than home.

So quiet and relaxing
We had a very comfortable, quiet, and relaxing stay. The house is just as described. We loved the view in the morning from the master bedroom as the leaves are just starting to change. Would absolutely stay here again.

Nice peaceful location on the water
My family and I had a nice time while staying. The neighbor was incredibly kind, letting us use her kayaks and fire wood. She helped make our stay above and beyond enjoyable. There was only 1 A/C unit in the 1 bedroom, it would have been nice if there was one in the second bedroom, also. The beds/bedding were very comfortable and clean. We slept wonderfully. The deck was a wonderful place to enjoy coffee in the morning. Very peaceful at this location. The only downside was the stairs going along the side of the house were rotting and one stair gave way under my mom when she was walking down which was very dangerous. I was told someone would come and repair it while we were there but no one did, which made it difficult for my mom and dad to walk up the grassy hill. Other than that, we had a comfortable stay.

Private little beach
I would definitely stay here again. Things to be aware of... the shower turns on by pulling the faucet head down (thank you Google). The big refrigerator doesn't work (there is a small one that does) and the water smells. Maybe if the owner gets enough reservations he can buy a new fridge and install a water softner! The lake was so nice. I could sit there all day and the kids loved having thier own beach to dig for shells. The next time i need a quiet place to getaway, i will go back.
