Greeley is a unique town, built upon agriculture and ranching roots. Today it is best known for the University of Northern Colorado and popular annual events throughout the year, such as the Greeley Stampede. While Greeley has grown substantially over the past 5 years, it still has the small town charm which we adore.
Emily has a love for historic houses and while visiting Greeley, we soon decided to look for our own here. Our 100+ year old craftsman bungalow is located in the historic Glenmere neighborhood, surrounded by other gorgeous vintage homes. With original wood floors and hardware, and extra tall ceilings, we new this was the one. It had been updated in some ways before we bought it, but it still had a lot of work to be done. The electrical was old and underpowered for today's modern amenities, so we redid all of it. We painted, built a new kitchenette in the basement, completely redid the front landscaping, and so much more. All of this was done by us and our family on weekends over two months. It was a ton of work but we are thrilled with the result!
