SHASTA LAKESHORE RETREAT #9. This home is one of the 15 fine lake homes part of the Shasta Lakeshore Retreat collection supporting up to 170 guests.

Completely Remodeled home completed in May 2023 with with natural wood and ceilings throughout. Warm, clean retreat with great views of the lake and mountains. It has a brand new kitchen, all new appliances, all new furniture, new flooring, new bathrooms, new windows, new large deck and much more. Lots of windows, open and beautiful wood flooring. The large new deck looks out at the lake. The property is only about 100 feet from the lake when the lake is full.

The deck includes a gas BBQ, heat lamp, gas fire pit and lots of sitting to enjoy the lake. The home features a open kitchen and common area that looks out at the lake on two sides. The deck wraps around two sides of the house for great views. Please note that this home does require the use of stairs to get to the living area.

Retreat 9 has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The home has great views. It is just set back a little with a trail down to the water for your use.

If you have a larger party, Retreat 3 and Retreat 4 are directly next door with Retreat 1, 2, 5 and 10 very close. Six of the nine homes on this most desired street are part of the Shasta Lakeshore Retreat. These 6 homes sleep a total of 70 people if you rented all of them.

This home has four powerful mini splits for quick air conditioning and heating. There is good Truck/Boat/Car/ATV Parking on good sized driveway and area in front of the home. No Rv'S or Campers.

- Sugarloaf Boat County Boat Ramp is close by. The marina location and moorage availability is dependent on lake level.

- Shoreline anchor also available. Use caution.

- Majority of boaters choose Shasta as their favorite Lake in California! Warm water during summer, many fingers to ski/board with calm water, massive dam, fishing everywhere, and multiple marinas to fuel the boat. Over 365 miles of shoreline to explore. Most shoreline in California.

- Plenty of relaxing time to view wildlife from the deck while you have a cup of coffee in the morning or favorite drinks in the evening.

- Multiple forest service country roads for ATV's and hiking to explore close by. Bring your ATVs!

Although most of our guests still have a great time at any water level, we want to make sure you understand the dynamics of this reservoir. The lake may or may not fill up any given year but we will keep guests updated and offer a full refund up to 60 days before arrival if any guest has concerns on water level. If the lake drops below 140' down, this starts to impact the availability of the local boat ramp and marina requiring travel to another part of the lake. Again, see our website for the latest info and photos of lake at different levels. Forest Fires are also common in Northern California which may blow smoke in the area during the summer and fall. This property was definitely as described. We arrived to a clean and warm house. The kitchen was full of all the things to make meals during the stay. Awesome view of the lake from the living room and decks. The hosts were awesome and were ready if we needed them. We woke up during the stay to a visit from the snow which for even better views of the area. All in all this place has everything you would need for your stay and to keep you occupied while there. We will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful cabin
My family and I had such a great trip! The cabin was clean and absolutely beautiful inside. Lori was very accommodating and responsive to any questions I had before we arrived and during our stay! We are already looking at dates for a future trip. Highly recommend!

Wonderful lake access and views
We stayed at Retreat 9 recently and had a fun and relaxing stay. The house had everything we could have wanted and more. The deck had amazing views, comfortable seating with enough room for everyone. There was a propane fire pit on the deck for evening deck lounging and ample shade during the day with an umbrella and shade from the roof. There was a hammock in the yard that fit two and a seating area with a propane heater nearby. The house had everything we could have wanted in the kitchen, living room and bedrooms. The house was exceptionally clean and outdoor areas were well organized. It felt secluded being at the end of the street with enough parking out front for our truck and boat trailer. The kids played monopoly almost everyday and Roku for the tvs. Plus books, magazines and guides for things to do in the area. There was a path created to the lake which we easily carried our paddle boards down. We were able to tie our boat in the cove to a log that someone tied up to give us easy access. We walked down the log and got into the back of the boat. We didn’t even get our feet wet. There were Kayaks to use also provided by the hosts. The cove out front was a perfect place to float, kayak, paddle board, and lounge around. The lake was beautiful, neighbors were nice, and we love the town of Lakehead for anything we need during our stay. We launched our boat next door at Sugarloaf Marina and the ladies there were also very friendly. Lori was available to answer any of our questions and came by to say hi while we were unpacking our truck on arrival which made us feel well taken care of and welcomed to her house as she was staying a few houses down. The attention to detail, kindness, and communication is spot on. The house is up a steep driveway and a flight of stairs. It didn’t bother us, but might be difficult for those with mobility issues. I felt this was clearly outlined on the website and not a negative for us, as the views from that high were enjoyable. Each retreat has it own special amenity. I think being that high up provided spectacular views. We can’t wait to plan our next trip back.

With over two decades of cherished family memories at Shasta Lake, we, David and Lori, came to regard Shasta Lake as the highlight of our summers. It's a place where families can bond, and where the range of activities appeals to every age group, making it the perfect spot for a family getaway.

Our love for Shasta Lake runs deep, leading us to make a life-changing decision in 2015 when we purchased our first lakefront home, known as Shasta Lakeshore Retreat #1. The incredible experiences we had here were simply too good not to share and we knew our houseboat days were over after staying in this home.

A year later, we acquired the property next door, now known as Shasta Lakeshore Retreat #2, bolstered by the popularity of our first home, which had become a year-round favorite.

In 2019, our two grown sons also fell in love with this wonderful place, prompting them to buy a home on the same charming street, christened as Shasta Lakeshore Retreat #3. They entrusted us with its management, a responsibility we take to heart. All three homes required significant investment and remodeling as they had been neglected for years.

After many requests from dear friends and neighbors, in 2021 we started managing other properties, which further enriched our collection. Although we only own two of them, today, we proudly represent 15 remarkable homes, each carefully selected for its unique charm, quality, and comfort. We firmly believe that an extraordinary home is the foundation of an unforgettable getaway, and we want nothing less than perfection for our valued guests.

Our journey doesn't end here; it's an ongoing adventure inspired by our passion for Shasta & the surrounding areas. We are committed to carefully expanding our offerings, reviewing additional unique homes to provide more options for all the wonderful families that come to visit this recreational area year after year providing them a much needed lodging option.

Location, Location, Location. Homes that are close to the water with lakefront or lakeview locations and on private land are extremely rare on Shasta Lake. This home is located on the best street (Daisy Lane) in the highly desired Sugarloaf area of Lakehead off the Sacramento Arm of the Lake. Great views of the lake, mountains and wildlife with a short walk to the lake, marina and boat ramp (depending on lake level). You will love this home. This home was fully remodeled in 2023.
