Located in Lake Placid's main lodging district and just a 10 min. walk to Main St., this newly updated, spacious apartment is the perfect place to nestle in for your Adirondack experience. The space was created with lots of touches to make you feel warm and welcome. There is a washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen, Keurig coffee maker, fridge, designated living room, clawfoot tub for soaking and showering, apothecary of toiletries, and a goodie tray of snacks to enjoy during your stay.
• THE SPACE •
A little rustic, a little modern and conveniently located. This newly updated 1 BR/1BA + a den apartment has everything you need for your ADK getaway. The paint colors, barn doors, wood accents, and textiles create a calm and cool vibe. The bathroom has a beautifully revived clawfoot tub with a bath faucet, shower head, and hand shower. It's perfect for soaking after a hike or showering for a day on the go.
You'll find lots of touches to uplift your stay. The bathroom apothecary includes shampoo, conditioner, body wash, makeup wipes, aromatherapy bath salts, razors, and a hair dryer. There is also a tub mat and bath tray for your convenience. The kitchen is fully stocked if you'd like to cook while you're here. There's a Keurig coffee maker with an assortment of coffee and tea pods, and a goodie tray with snacks and cereals. And if laundry is on your list of things to do, there is a washer/dryer unit, detergent and an iron in the unit.
You will have to go up 5 exterior steps to get to the apartment. It is located on the center floor of a three story building. There is a body art studio at street level with one apartment above.
• ADDITIONAL DETAILS •
* The apartment is spacious enough for 4 adults. The sleeping options include a queen size bed in the bedroom, twin size low profile sleeper sofa in the den and a sectional couch in the living room. The couch does not fold out. 2 adults are included in the price. Up to 4 adults will be considered for an additional $25 per person per night.
* The den can be used as a dedicated office/work space, but there is not a full desk. There are small side tables that can be used for your laptop.
* There is a 55" smart fire TV in the sitting room. Netflix is included with the rental and you are welcome to use the other apps that are loaded on the TV with your own logins. We don't have cable.
* There are 4 rentals and a seasonal, by-appointment business in the building. The apartment is quiet, but the building is from the 1940's so you will hear some subtle noises and footsteps on occasion. For everyone's enjoyment, quiet hours are from 10PM to 7am.
* I purchased this charming building in 2021. It has received a lot of TLC since then. This apartment has been updated. The exterior is still awaiting a face-lift. Thanks for your patience while we continue to plug away at its beautification!
* You will have to walk up 5 exterior steps to access the apartment.
• PARKING & GUEST ACCESS •
Parking is located on the property at the front of the building. You will have access to one parking spot. The property is equipped with contactless entry. A door code will be sent to you the day you check in.
• OTHER THINGS OF NOTE •
In the warm months:
Two air conditioners ( window units) are placed in the bedroom and den during the warmer months when the weather calls for it only. They are removed the rest of the year when not in need.
In the cold months:
We do our best to keep up with the snow and ice. Salt is always available to you if you feel like the stairs, landing or driveway needs more. You can find it in the entryway cabinet.
