Disappointingly Dirty
Check-in process seamless; location fine.
Apartment dirty upon arrival:
Odor: scent of smoke; air fresheners in all rooms; plug-in wall-fresheners all dry; we removed them, left on counter.
Kitchen: spoiled food in refrigerator; personal food in refrigerator and freezer; oven dirty (crumbs; dried-on grease); dishwasher overfilled with dishes, pots, pans, utensils, plastic storage-ware; we washed the dishes and put away. All cupboards and appliances streaked, greasy, and sticky. We did not use any appliance except the coffee maker and microwave to heat water only.
Bedroom: carpeting extremely dirty, blackened areas throughout; sheets looked clean.
Bathroom: tub not clean; hair, stains, (we washed tub base before using). Sink, toilet, and towels looked clean. Clothes (underwear and towel) in washer; dryer lint trap full (we cleaned before using).
TV viewing area: white sectional dirty and damaged (black spots; several cushions splitting at seams; back of one section broken).
Hard floors: all sticky and dirty with food, dust, dirt, and some dead bugs.
The "kitchenette" area filled with large computer gaming apparatus and equipment, making the space unusable.
We had no area (e.g., closet/hangers; wall hooks; drawers) for personal items.
Owner was contacted 3 times via app, he responded once without action. We took photos; he is aware.
Overall, we were very disappointed. Request at least cleaning fee refunded.
Potentially GREAT space, but not prepared for guest rental.
