Located among historic homes and buildings and across the Green from Litchfield's charming restaurants and shops, walk in the footsteps of Washington, Tallmadge, Rochambeau, Henry Ward Beecher and Harriet Beecher Stowe and other luminaries of America’s beginnings. Litchfield County offers several charming tourist features. You can explore the charming Litchfield Green, a historic village green surrounded by well-preserved 18th-century houses and churches.
