Not as expected
The condo and complex itself was good and in a great location with a beautiful view. Just know that this condo is NOT as advertised! (It has been changed since we booked and I sent a message questioning because it now reads accurately). If you want to eat/cook at the condo there is no microwave, an odd array of pots/pans/lids that don't fit/match each other, and minimal dishes. There is only a toaster and a little mini 6 cup coffee maker. When I booked it also said dishwasher but that is not even a big deal other than it said it was there. Be aware that there is no A/C at all! I love a nice breeze but being by the water that makes everything in a constant state of moisture. The bed is very hard so if you don't like that you won't be comfortable. The listing also specifically said smart TV. There was a TV but it was not a smart TV nor did it have any streaming device or cable hooked to it at all. The guy who lives there and helps the agent brought us one the next day but that was only because he had an extra and he was coming back to get it after we left. It was a great location with easy access to anyplace on the island you want to go. If you want a basic home base it does the job. I would definitely stay at this complex again but would probably choose a different unit because I personally prefer more comfort. My favorite part of the whole place was the hammock on the balcony...that was glorious!!!

Recent stay at Aqua Vista condominium
The view of the Caribbean and Christiansted from the balcony and is stunning - a great place for morning coffee and afternoon tea. There is no air conditioner but the breeze kept things comfortable during our stay in January. The kitchen has a full size range and refrigerator but no dishwasher which is understandable because of the limited water and electric resources on St. Croix. The bathroom was clean and the shower had hot water. The bedroom was comfortable except on the last night of our stay when the wind was blowing 25 mph and whistling through the louvres on the door between the bedroom and balcony making it hard to sleep. Even though we didn’t need them the washer and dryer which had been listed among the amenities were either not there or locked up. If you’re willing to embrace the quirks this is a great place to enjoy being on island time.
